What other markets would be interested? Portland, Indy, Charlotte, San Antonio? Mexico City (might be smart to go there)?

Well amazingly despite the fact all we hear is baseball is destined to die in the long term there's been talk of expansion. I would think they wanna keep Vegas as a pure expansion team, and maybe Charlotte for expansion. I do think the A's will get the stadium in Oakland though, Rays move to Montreal eventually.

It’s sad in a way that A’s are likely to go. I’d say it’s a virtual guarantee it’s Las Vegas getting them. Closest proximity, but the main factor is every sport wants to get there. There simply too big a market to ignore there. Anyone know why Vancouver hasn’t been considered in the past? It’s a world class city with quite a bit of past and present mlb players from there. I don’t know the corporate interest required but I’d think it would be a secondary or tertiary market much like Montreal.

Good point about the expansion fee. I didn’t think about that.

It really is baffling how long Vegas sat dormant as this kind of "no go" zone for the big four sports. Then one sport goes there and everyone else starts jumping up and down and applying like Vegas is some new city that popped up over night, lol.

And everyone thought the NBA would go to Vegas first. They might be last.

Always a big fear of the mob corrupting players there and rigging games.

As gambling has lost the stigma of 'Mafia run bookies' and athletes makes very large sums of $$ the stigma is gone

Good for him. Wouldnt be surprised to see The Machine be an above average bat off the bench for the Dodgers. Get that Angels stink off him. Sad how that franchise will ruin the two best players of the last 20 years with their ineptitude.

Ex Blue Jay and fan favourite Kevin Pillar just took a fastball to the nose. It looked pretty gruesome and I really hope he is ok. Pillar has really turned himself into a good ball player and has put up solid numbers since leaving the Jays.

Silver lining to getting hit in the face is the bases were loaded so he got himself a very painful RBI.

Jacob Webb is such a #### up. Webb throws a hissy fit instead of covering home... Does it AGAIN and fails to cover 1st, then he hits a guy in the face. Brian Snitker and Alex Anthopoulos are even worse #### ups.

Ohtani back at it, hits 13th home run.
Oh yeah and he’s got a 2.10ERA in 5 games/26IP.

Simply amazing. In my lifetime, if legit starting pitchers can get a couple seeing eye singles in a game it’s noteworthy, never mind clubbing 13 dingers in 37 games.
