Cheering for Curry is so much fun. It's too bad that the Warriors have been the evil empire for most of his career, I'm enjoying this.

Sigh... nevermind. You know, every time I try to like this sport, a close, tense game is decided by the officials. It never fails. It's just a waste of time.

Of course they want the Lakers in. 8 against 5 tonight.

Didn't watch a second, knew there wasn't any point. FYI this is a great resource for knowing when you shouldn't even bother watching a game, when I saw who was reffing it made it obvious what the result would be. Like it's definitely pretty insane the NBA has such a thing as "Ringer" refs, but they clearly do.
Reffing in the NBA is not atrocious though, it's pointed. That's much worse. It's an illegitimate sport, and really makes it that much more amazing that Toronto actually won a championship. Guaranteed the league wanted no part in a Toronto win, but they reached a point with injuries that they simply couldn't get it done.

Yep, those are refs in there to ensure an outcome. Advanced stat keeping in the social media age is excellent for outing it. In the 90's/2000's they could do this stuff and no one would piece it all together and get it out to millions this easily.
Although I still don't think the average fan really cares that much. Is a scripted league that bad for 80% of the fans that just want to tune in and see storylines? Sadly, I don't know if that matters that much if a league is legit or not.
