Flames were dominant. Credit where credit is due, since we always mention it when it doesn't go our way - there were at least two, maybe four pretty bad calls that went against the Blues tonight. The Flames took advantage, but it really sucked the life out of the Blues early. I'll take it where we can get it!

FOUR? not a chance...too many men I will give you.
There was also a terrible call on Gudbranson, missed call on Gaudreau, and a double minor missed when Ras took a high stick in the face
When one team has the puck all game they should get more power plays

Hoping Monahan keeps it up . I've had all the surgery he's had and it took some time to get back to just doing daily stuff and riding ultra endurance bike races again.
Starting to see him get back to form. Hope it keeps going because It looks like he's getting back.

I too listened to the fan’s broadcast. St. Louis was already on their flight before the game got out of the first. 7 unanswered ? Man they were not here in Calgary to play ice hockey that’s for sure.
Great game by the flames. Keep it up now!
Good to see monny and ruzicka score. We need the center depth, scoring and size these two are showing as of late.
Binnington has been in a real funk recently. At least we didn’t give him his confidence back. It’s a good feeling to pile on a goalie in a rut.
St. Louis sure looked bad for all the talent they boast. Was it all the flames doing? They didn’t seem to be competing anywhere nor at any time after theZadorov goal.

You just gotta keep Ruzicka in the lineup going forward. His ability to play up and down the lineup is something this team sorely needs. You can't have guys like Richardson and Pitlick playing shifts with your second line, but you can with Ruzicka. That's super important.
That'd be pretty close to ideal with the current roster, IMO. Still need to add another scorer before the deadline.
I think Richardson is done being an NHL-calibre player, as good as he was in Arizona and before that. Ritchie is the only forward in the NHL with zero points in more than 15 games this year. I'm not convinced Pitlick is as bad as he's been so far but I wouldn't give him a huge leash after he gets back.
I'd really look at trying to rekindle the Ruzicka-Phillips AHL magic on that fourth line.

Absolutely dominant win. As Hrudey said, the best Flames effort of the season and one of the best leaguewide this season. Really good to hear that after a sucky loss to their rivals. Glad the Flames were able to put that loss in the rearview and bounce back like that. Fun game to watch (as a Flames' fan) from start to finish.
Monahan getting going is going to be key. If he can start to flirt with getting back to his former level, that will be a huge addition going forward.
Strong game from Markstrom who needed a big win to get some confidence on home ice. Another key player going forward.
And what can you say about Johnny Gaudreau? Elite AF. Still hoping and praying that new contract of his comes sooner than later. But he is a joy to watch shift after shift.
2/3 wins and 4/6 points recently. Good way to slowly start to bounce back after a long stretch of poor results and long breaks.

Even without that absolute snipe, that may have been Zadorov’s best game. A couple huge hits, some great skating and only one bad pass I saw. Pretty good night from his partner too.

Haven't updated our wager lately, but after 37 games Calgary has scored 118 goals, for 3.19 goals per game.
To hit 200, they need 82 goals in 45 games, or 1.69 (nicccce) goals per game.
1.69 (niccccce) goals per game is a 139 goal pace over a full 82-game season.
The lowest all-time goals in a season of 72 games or more is 150 by the 2013-14 Buffalo Sabres.
