Please see the above. Simply trying to establish the outer edges of what would be considered acceptable and morally unacceptable.

Bro, the hypothetical you created is both absurd and isn’t based in reality. Late term abortions happen due to medical issues with the baby and/or mother. Not because the mom was in labor and was like “Oops, maybe I don’t wanna pop this little fella out after all”

Most of Europe, on paper at least, have limits after about 12-16 weeks. Most of the global south don't even allow elective abortions.

Personally I would set the limit at what age the fetus can survive out of the womb without medical intervention, if you can pop it on to a towel and feed it with a bottle its a human, if it would die within seconds or minutes of the umbilical being cut then it isnt

Canada’s setup makes sense to me where there is no legal limit but providers set limits that are based on a medical standpoint.
It’s a bit of a dumb question though because we can pretty easily assume most people are referring to the government as the thing standing between a woman and her choice.
Your hypothetical would be similar to questioning someone supporting same-sex marriage who says “The government shouldn’t tell me who I can marry, I should be able to marry whoever I want!” with “so do you think a gay man should get to marry ANY other gay man? even if the other man didn’t want to??? he could just force him to marry him??? YES OR NO?” like, let’s not be stupid. Put on our thinking caps a little here and just make some logical assumptions. Asking if people think it should be woman’s choice to kill a baby when the head is halfway out is pretty ####ing stupid.

That would be almost full term. Lungs are the last thing to develop.

Everyone here with a half brain cell knows exactly why the faux outrage is going on, and the question is getting obtuse responses. I'll put it on the table; once you admit a continuum exists where on one end of the spectrum abortion is morally ambiguous at worst, and on the other end it's border line murder, you have to engage in a discussion on where to draw the line. Instead of being honest about it and having that discussion, people pretend like the question is irrelevant because it's an absurd scenario. It doesn't matter how unlikely the scenario is, the question remains: if you wouldn't abort a child just before it passes the birth canal, how far back can you go before you would?
