I just got an email from StubHub saying my Flames tickets have been cancelled and I will be refunded with 120% of the original amount I paid as a credit to my account and it will expire Dec. 31/2021.

I’m wondering if I should just press them for a full refund.

Since they do everything in US$ (or has that changed?), how much would you lose on the exchange if you got cash vs. taking the credit? Also, are you likely to buy tickets between now and then?

I think it depends on a couple of things. How likely are you to use Stubhub again, and how likely are you to want to return to watching live sports.

Myself- I’ll be going to watch live sports as soon as it’s relatively safe. However I rarely use Stubhub- so I’d be pressing for a refund. The event you purchased was canceled- so you should be getting a refund.

12 months is a short timeframe to use them in this state, IMO.
I pushed for refunds.

I also got the 120% credit and contacted them today to request a refund instead (I read that if you go to https://stubhub.community/ and PM one of the stubhub reps, they could process it). There is a good chance I would use stubhub again, but at this point I'd rather have the cash in hand. They said it would take up to 120 days for them to process the refund; hopefully they don't go bankrupt in the meantime...
