Flames aren't skating, and quite deservedly are down so far. The bottom 6 and 3M can't just rely on Gaudreau magic to win games.

Don't really love the Derek Ryan signing. Does this team just have to have an anchor in the bottom 6 at all times or what? They get rid of Stajan and Brouwer, only to immediately bring in Ryan. Ugh.

Reffing is a problem league wide and sports wide in general. There is no bias against the Flames. Every team and every fan thinks the refs are against the team they cheer for.
I actually agree with the Kypreyos insight on the Keith hit.

Flames were great in the first half of that period. But that 5 on 3 gave the Hawks all the momentum and they carried the play for the remainder of the period.
Flames need to get their feet moving again, as they're currently getting out-skated and beaten to every puck it seems.

Refs certainly impacted that period, but it wasn’t like the Flames were by far and away the better team. Their play needs to step up, particularly in the breakout. Hawks forechecking is too effective for the D right now

I never liked it from the announcement, especially with the salary and contract terms.
