-Etienne Morin and the Moncton Wildcats are still waiting to find out who their second-round opponent will be.

-Matvei Gridin and his Shawinigan Cataractes are waiting to find out who their second-round opponent will be.

-Axel Hurtig and the Hitmen will face Lethbridge in the second-round.

-The Silvertips and Eric Jamieson face the Thunderbirds tonight in game 6 of their first-round matchup, which is 3-2 in favor of Everett right now.

Yes, I believe somebody said he might be back if the Tigers were in post-season play long enough- like, for the last round.

It took until the second OT, but the Silvertips eliminated the Thunderbirds (4-2 in the series) by a score of 1-0. Jamieson was all zeroes, with 6 shots and 4 PIM. 6gp/1g/1a/2pts,-3, 10 PIM.

Apr.10th:

The Fronts get their butts kicked by the Colts, 6-2 (Colts scored 6 unanswered after Kingston went up 2-0), meaning they go down in their second-round series 1-0. Batts had 1a, and was -1. 5gp/1g/6a/7pts,+5, 2 PIM.

Hitmen go down 1-0 in their series against the Hurricanes, being shutout 4-0. Hurtig was zeroes across the board. 5gp/0g/2a/2pts,+3, 0 PIM.

Apr.11th:

Moncton makes a statement in the first game of their second-round matchup against Baie-Comeau, with a big 7-0 win to go up 1-0 in the series. Morin gets 2a, and was +3 to put him second in scoring on the Wildcats (to Desnoyers), tied for 8th-overall in playoff scoring, and first in scoring by D, with 5gp/1g/7a/8pts,+5, 2 PIM. He shows up when it's most important- he's gonna be a good one.

Shawinigan goes up 1-0 in their series against Sherbrooke, with a 5-4 win. Gridin had no points, and was -2, but is still tied for 5th in playoff scoring with 6gp/4g/6a/10pts,+2, 4 PIM.

Everett is not getting anything handed to them, winning 3-2 in OT to go up 1-0 in the series against the Winterhawks. Jamieson was zeroes across the board, other than 2 shots. 7gp/1g/1a/2pts,-3, 10 PIM.

Weird that we haven't heard anything on Luke Misa yet. I wonder if he's going to go to the NCAA next season? He's had 4 full OHL seasons, but maybe he's not quite ready to go pro. The NCAA would be a step up from the CHL and a step below the AHL. Top contributor in the NCAA would be better than scratching out a 4th line role in the AHL and maybe even bouncing between the AHL and ECHL.

I still feel unclear on what the rules for holding rights are. Assuming we aren’t at risk of losing these guys after 1 NCAA route I really like the idea of this.

Did we ever get a confirmation as to where Mews is going? Is it Michigan?

Apr.12th:

Kingston goes down 2-0 in their series with Barrie, after suffering a 7-4 loss. Battaglia gets 2a, and was +1, putting him in a tie for 23rd in playoff scoring, with 6gp/1g/8a/9pts,+6, 2 PIM.

Shawinigan goes up 2-0 in their series against Sherbrooke, with a 5-2 win. Gridin was second star, with 1g, and a +1. He is tied for 4th in playoff scoring in the Q, with 7gp/5g/6a/11pts,+3, 4 PIM.

OH NO! Hitmen go down 2-0 in their series with Lethbridge, after a 2-1 loss. Once again, Hurtig was zeroes across the board, other than 1 shot. 6gp/0g/2a/2pts,+3, 0 PIM.

Everett goes up 2-0 on the Winterhawks, with a 4-3 win in OT. Like I said yesterday, the 'Tips are not having having anything handed to them in these playoffs. Jamieson had no points, and was +2, for 8gp/1g/1a/2pts,-2, 10 PIM.

All outlets are saying Michigan, but nothing has been confirmed 100%, as far as I know.

Shawinigan vs moncton would be great, as it seems Gridin and Morin have both really put their respective teams on their backs.

Gridin dragging Shawinigan to a mem cup would be a dream story.
