Garrison Pub makes a decent burger (plus they have a gigantic Iginla statue on their roof, so win-win). Again, I know the owner so I'm a little biased. I have to admit though, for a small pub his food is excellent.

Good lord Jiri,
You need to try the fine diner burger, it may be one of the best burgers I've had in Calgary. For a fairly expensive burger, I was more then happy to pay the price for it.

Had the opportunity to finally try Bubba Louie today. Really good burger, sort of a Five Guys taste to it, but without turning into a messy pile of junk. The regular fries were also great, perfectly cooked and crisp.
Will try the poutine next time, since the fries were so good.
I don`t know if I am expecting much from a burger bus, but it would be nice to know ahead of time when some place doesn't accept debit or credit, or at least have it printed somewhere around the bus. The other thing was the menu was hard to read. I also didn't have enough cash for my order (embarrassing), but the chef let it slide this time.
Overall I'd put it above Five Guys and Rocky's. They could use better igredients (eg. the processed cheese was not impressive). The fries are probably the best that I have had anywhere. The thickness, crispness, spice was all perfect.

The little cheeseburger has a much better meat to bun ratio. I just wish they had fried eggs to put on their burgers at all of their locations, because I got spoiled the one time that I had it and now all of their burgers are slightly inferior by comparison.

I'd like to know how Grande Prairie is getting a Carl's Jr. before Calgary.

Just tried the Southstreet Burger on 130th, and, well, I think I'll just wait for Five Guys to open.

I just had Chive for the first time yesterday and I was disappointed. For the price, the burger was on the small side. Decent ingredients, but it was overly salty. It's a long way from a Dairy Lane burger

They are not as good as some of the top ones on your list. However, they are usually quite good.

I went back to Holy Grill a couple weeks ago for the first time in a while. They do have different buns. They used a really soft bun that was squished in a panini grill. So, it ended up very dry and looked like two bottom buns. It's really too bad, because the burger just wasn't very good with a bun treated that way. You really have to wonder what they were thinking.

We went to Black Betty Burger and Winebar the other day and it is really quite tasty. Extra points for having decent value for food and beer specials for a joint downtown.

Not sure what to think of their photo gallery though.

I really enjoy your reviews, but if this is really your new #2 spot, at least show some appetizing pictures of the food.

I should have read this review before I went to try Southstreet. It was one of the worst burgers I have every had, on one of the worst buns I have ever had, topped with some of the most over cooked bacon I have ever had and accompanied by the ####ing WORST onion rings EVER.
Will never go back. Avoid at all costs.

South St. seems to have sunk very deep into the crapper in a relatively short period of time. I remember eating there a year or two ago and it didn't seem all that bad, but my dad and I gave it a try in Cross Iron a month or two ago and it seemed like a different place. Better burgers to be had at basically any other fast food joint, and the service was a complete gong show.

I had this at CrossIron about two years ago and it was decent. Haven't been back since, so I don't know if that says anything.
My current favorites in the city are Smashburger and Clive Burger.
Honorable mention for 5 Guys, but it isn't the best on my innards.
