Goff will be fascinating. I think he was badly exposed in the Super Bowl for how reliant he is on McVay (who himself was badly outcoached). So if Goff costs you $35 million a year, maybe McVay figures he can draft another QB and get comparable production for about $28 million less a season for the first four years of a rookie deal.

I thought Seattle would walk away or trade Wilson. Just the way Carroll and Schneider have operated.
He’s an excellent QB, though still has his moments. He had help from a solid defense and the best rob in the league years ago. It took him a couple season without a running game and declining defense to adapt, and was really good last year.
But when Seattle won the SB and had the defense in its prime (and paid as such) his cap hit was $700k.
The next year, to the SB again, he signed his next deal, and cap hit was $7m. Still managable to fit other key players in, as well as having unsung guys not making a tonne of money, in key roles, which Caroll and Scheinder find.
This year, he will have over a $25m cap hit. That’s over 30x what his hit was Super Bowl season and 3x what it was when they made it the next year...and since then, with the defense dismantled and not getting the big pay days as their age increased, the team has won 2 WC games in last 4 seasons. Last year was a pleasant surprise, and gave the Rams all they could handle in the reg season, which could’ve gotten them a better seed, but they are still rebuilding.
They don’t have a top receiver outside of Baldwin, who is scrappy and not a true top guy. Running back is by committee. Lines are ok, defense with Wagner and Wright are ok. But 4 years at this cap hit severely limits the ability for Caroll and Schneider to build a better team up the way they are used to.
Moving him onto NY or maybe somehow getting Kyler Murray at the draft, and retool rather then make him the highest paid player and have not much to build around him the next few years, until he is 34 and wants another contract.

Seahawks' biggest problem is that they have maybe the worst OC in the league.

Hogan does worse than drop passes - he deflects balls right into the hands of defenders.

I think Goff is good enough to win surrounded by talent but he's not a guy like Wilson that can win without an offensive line or great supporting cast. McVay is a really good offensive coach and can probably get a lot out of any decent QB so if it comes to $35 million for Goff I would look to trade him and sign a guy like Andy Dalton for a lot cheaper and draft a QB.

The guy lost a step or two already prior to the Achilles injury. I wouldn't be surprised if he's cut before the first game of the season as he's on a steep decline. I would have looked at a healthier veteran receiver such as Crabtree before Thomas but I imagine McDaniels had a hand in this.

That line sounds like it was 25 dudes paying for sex simultaneously
But only if you miss the 's' on the end of video like the dumb ass who posted this.

So who in Tampa pissed off the sked makers?
Good grief did the Bucs ever get shafted on this schedule...lol.
First 3 games are all normal 2 home games and a trip to Carolina.
Then
East coast to West coast to play AT the Rams
then AT New orleans
then home to Caroline but IN London England
then AT Tennessee
then cross country again AT Seattle.
Play at home on Sept. 22. Dont play at home again (In TB) until November 10th. 49 days without a home game.
Yikes.

The absolute worst part of this slowly sinking Raiders ship (for their fans anyway) is Gruden can't be fired for at least 5 more seasons because Mark Davis doesn't have any cash to do it. Good for Gruden though, $100 million to destroy the Raiders might be the sweetest payback a former employee has ever gotten.

Theres nothing wrong with what they did
Plenty of people on twitter that worked for teams pointed out that there are usually only a small group of people who see the final draft board, which is now finalized, and that the last week is spent going over scenarios and final plans. Patriots do the same thing, as well as other teams
Heres a few people who actually know details and dont just blindly go lol raiders

The fact that one of the scouts leaked this kinds of proves mayock and grudens point, they are all from the prior GMs staff as well, they were all going to be let go and knew it, plus stuff about player visits already leaked and mayock was blindsided with a question over it in a press conference

Raiders will be fine...they have cap space, 3 first rounders, and are about to move to the most desirable market in the NFL

This courtesy of Peter King in regards to Kyler Murray
Quote:
Over the last seven years of football—three years of varsity high school football, a short one-year stint at Texans A&M, sitting a year at Oklahoma after transferring, mostly sitting in 2017 behind Baker Mayfield, and starting last year at Oklahoma—Murray has started 60 games. He is 57-3. Who knows if he starts right away in the NFL? But in the NFL, he could lose more starts in a month than he lost in the previous seven years. It’ll be interesting to see how Murray adjusts to adversity. Not sure he’s ever had much of it, at least in football.

That's just ridiculous.

Here is something that simply should not happen. The factoid that, upon further review, is a blight on the 2019 schedule:
Raider games in Oakland in the 48 days between Sept. 16 and Nov. 2: zero.
Raider games in Oakland in the 15 days between Nov. 3 and Nov. 17: three.

2013: New York at Dallas
2015: New York at Dallas
2016: New York at Dallas
2017: New York at Dallas

A perk of being one of the 23 top draft prospects invited to Nashville for the draft is that each player gets 10 round-trip airplane tickets, plus corresponding hotel rooms for three nights for the player and his travel party, gratis.
So, 230 plane tickets plus roughly 180 luxe hotel rooms (some family and/or friends will be couples, and will share a room) … the cost of doing business for putting on the glitzy show in Nashville.
