An article in The Score suggests Lehner won’t be re-signing with NYI ... wouldn’t he be ideal for CGY??

Depending on where Bob signs, Lehner might be looking at Columbus or Florida. They're probably the most-likely to give him a big starter's salary.

If he has to relocate somewhere why wouldn’t he just wait till July 1 to sign with the best offer/situation. He already knows who’s interested in signing him.

I think the team with rights is the only one that can make an actual offer. This puts pressure on him because they might go another way after July 1. And other teams may be interested, but the offers might not be what he expects. A lot of players just want it to be over.
