Goalies are witches who practice voodoo while reading tarot cards.

I never, ever expect a goalie prospect to be good until they actually are. And even then...

I hope Parsons works it out this year. It would be a nice problem to have too many good goalies in the system.

They’re actually the witches’ cursed cat, making them even more uncontrollable and impossible to forecast.

I was surprised when I saw he was already 23 years old. Feels like the Flames just drafted him. Hopefully he can rebound. It's scary that concussions have affected him so much already. It makes you think what will happen if he gets another one.

There was an article on The Athletic about him completely changing his training and focusing immensely on flexibility strength...

Quote:
Tyler Parsons was supposed to spend this summer in Calgary. But he didn’t.

He calls it one of the best decisions of his life.
Quote:
Then plans changed, rather suddenly, after a trip home to Michigan in late May.
Quote:
“I went back to my gym that I always train at and they had some new styles of training with functional range of motion stuff that they incorporated right into my strength and conditioning program,” said Parsons. “I did three or four days of that, before I headed back to Airdrie, and I just got so much benefit out of it. I said if I want to take that next step, really make the next jump, I need to be doing this. So, I literally got home and told my fiancée, ‘We’re moving back home.'”
I hope he manages to see the dividends of that change of philosophy...It would be really sweet if the flames could have a home grown goalie pay off...other than Vernon we don't have one...Anyone worth a mention has been traded for or signed as a free agent.

How did he get a concussion, was he run into by another player or had an accident outside of the rink??

I hope its not a show me moment for him.....lost a lot of years of development. Goalies age differently. I want to see him get some more time beyond this.

Grand total of one game this (albeit short) season and his contract up.

Injury riddled pro career.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Flames bid him adieu.

He just needs reps and stay healthy. Imo he's the 2nd most explosive goalie we have behind Wolf. And both are crazy fast.

Really hope we can see a healthy season for Parsons. Injuries have wrcked more than our fair share of goalies in the system.

Gillies with his hips, Parsons with everything (Ankle, concussions)

Next season it's Dusty Dawg on the farm, and maybe they bring Daniil Chechelev over. That's a pretty raw pairing.

Is it too late for the Flames to sign free agent Strauss Mann out of Michigan?

Stop drafting goalies with high picks

Parsons and McDonald didn’t even become good AHL players. We signed a complete unknown from the Czech league who showed up and was better right off the bat
