All I can find confirmation on is between $122m-$187m worth of C-level execs (so three). Gotta love golden parachutes and a new boss with more money than sense.

Apparently, there was a troll job with two guys claiming to be data engineers who got fired.

YouTube has it easier compared to other social networks in that its less of a feed and the content is tied directly to advertisers so you can just say - we won't monetize controversial content. Twitter/Facebook, etc are a big long feed and companies don't want their ad next to some anti-semetic or racist tweet.

He also has his other businesses to think of. Tesla has big factories in Germany and China. Germany has speech laws about Nazism - doubt he'll want to annoy them. Twitter isn't in China, but China isn't shy about using their influence when they can. Right now - Twitter doesn't do any business in China so their government has limited influence on twitter management. Now - does China lean on Musk and threaten his Tesla business if there is anti-China tweets?

A lot easier to be 'free speech' guy when you are yelling on the sidelines vs the guy in charge of the operation.

I wonder how he will react to fake news from the far right about electric cars...we have a senator on the campaign trail saying that "real men" would never drive one to a standing ovation from Trumpers

Firing people doesn't really mean anything. The entire tech industry is going to start getting rid of their obviously bloated headcounts, especially judging by yesterday's bloodbath in the market.

I just cannot see how he will get Twitter to make money.

I like what the service brings in terms of news, sports content, etc. But for advertising? Meh. Start forcing more advertising onto feeds and more people will leave.

Elon Musk has turned into a reprehensible human being. He is proof that money and power not only corrupt, but they corrupt completely.

Selling the company for more than it’s worth, getting a $40M+ payout after less than a year in the chair, and not having to work for Musk?

Not bad, Agrawal, not bad.

He’s a CEO that earned his money for his shareholders for sure. Not often that happens.

Jack Dorsey was lobbying for Musk to buy the company, and walked away with a cool billion in cash.

What’s funny though is regardless of if Musk is able to increase the value of twitter or whatever else he wants to do with it he still paid 20 billion or more too much.

Well, Musk is going to be interesting coming up here.

His Tesla piggy bank might start becoming a little lean once the rest of the Auto manufacturers have caught up to some of his proprietary battery tech and start offering better cars for less.

Unless he's making real bank off of NASA I dont think he's going to be able to monetize Twitter like he thinks he can.

Lol seems like Musk fired the execs with cause trying to avoid paying out their termination clauses.

More lawsuits incoming.

Musk is a petty little man.

Musk going full Michael Scott.

I do have cause. It’s be-cause I hate them!

Twitter may just turn into a bigger cesspool than it was before he bought it. Big Trump vibes here. Already posting fake links from conspiracy sites and deleting them.
