Someone tried starting a thread before: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...ighlight=suits
Never really took off, even though it's clear from the "I need a new TV show to watch" thread that many people like the show.

Those first few had me thinking it'd be a top tier cable drama with the Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Justified type shows. It's fallen pretty far from the peak of those first few into a second tier type show. But it was up so high that despite the fall it is still good and enjoyable. The good dialogue and attractive people bring a younger audience who wouldn't ordinarily watch legal dramas, such as myself.

It's a pretty bad show, but I watch every episode because it still manages to entertain. Yeah, the two aren't mutually exclusive and I think it's a fair thing to post in a "show" thread.

I enjoyed it at first but over time it just started getting too repetitive and predictable for me.

I'm 10 episodes in and I still like it a lot. Hopefully I continue too.
The story arcs wrapping up in one episode doesn't bother me too much yet. It's a nice change from all the other shows I've been watching to be able to just enjoy an episode of a show without lingering questions.

So I finished whats on netflix and I have to say I still freaking love this show. Yeah again, its not as great as the first few episodes were but if it was it would probably be one of the best tv shows of all time. They set the bar really high to start.

One thing that bugs me - if Mike and Harvey are these brilliant geniuses - they have to be able to see that their deception regarding Mike's credentials inevitably leads to disaster....
Geniuses aren't usually known for knowingly painting themselves into a corner they can't get out of.
Kills the premise of the show I know but it's a pretty glaring hole.

I suppose the point of the whole scheme would be that both guys think they're above the rules and smart enough to not get caught (even though they constantly do). But that's why it's a TV show. Real law firms are boring. You never get to stand up like James Spader and make some awesome speech that only tangentially relates to your case. You rarely if ever get to say 'in the name of God, do your duty. In the name of God, believe Tom Robinson'. You just don't.
TV law firms are backdrops for hijinks. That's it.

Love the show. The dialogue is witty and unapologetically hard hitting. Season 3 wasn't as good as S1 and S2, but you can't blame them, those seasons set the standard very high. Looking forward to the next season for more of Harvey's tenacity, Rachel's dresses, Donna's B**ch slaps and Lewis Litt'ing people up!

I hear people at SAIT and MRU talking about Suits all the time. Tough for a show of this nature to do so well with young people, a testament to how good it is.

Got a bunch of people hooked on this show over the holidays. Its crazy how netflix can really create hype around a show.

I really like the transformation of Lewis this season. I couldn't stand him before because of his slimy rat like ways but now you feel for the guy

Ego has been the death of many a genius.

Maybe for Mike - he's trying to prove he can be a lawyer without going to Harvard.
But for Harvey? What's in this deception for him that it's worth ending his career? To help this lil' feller out? Ego may lead to a desire to beat the system, but there has to be something in it for him for this to be believable.
An entertaining show otherwise but once in a while the obvious logic holes drive me bonkers.

What I never got was why they didnt put Mike through law school like they did with Harvey if he is such a star. Have him consult in the mean time.
Obviously there wouldn't be much of a show but it seems like the logical thing to do.
