I think as he is coming out, almost about to have that panic attack he almost had in elevator once, he gets himself together and thinks of the trouble Walt's kids would go through once they learn about it. I think he will decide to spy on Walt (off the books) to get to the bottom of the entire scheme.
I think in the end he will try to still convince Walt to give it all up and turn himself in as an informant whereby he will remain innocent in the eyes of his kids but be secretly under police watch 24/7. Walt, the egomaniac he is, will not only end up killing Hank under pressure (knowing that Hank is the only cop that knows about him), but will Ironically do so right at a time when his family would find him doing it - giving this series a tragic end. What would be even more tragic is that afterwards, in order to avoid being a helpless prisoner, he kills himself in front of his kids.
Too depressing?

I think with 8 episodes left they won't waste much time (if any) on the immediate future. Instead they'll push forward an entire year, and start in the period they began with in the premiere of the season. That's what they're moving towards, so they might just start right in that moment.

I hope not, because then they're going to do the flashbacks thing to explain the missing year, and that would get tiring over a season. I'd rather they just take the first 4 or 5 episodes to get to the point where Walt has an M60 in the trunk and use the rest of the season to resolve it.

I'm thinking Hank plays it cool at first, but then tries to use/blackmail Walt to take down the other people involved.

I think Hank comes out like nothing is wrong. Everyone goes home. Walt goes to the washroom to make stool and sees that the book has been touched. He opens it and sees the writting that Hank saw. Walt then knows what he must do...
I can't remember the website, but I read an interview where Vince confirmed that Hank was indeed aware of who Walt was now.
The best part of the season starting in Sept is that I leave for vacation right before it starts, and come back 3 1/2 weeks later. So when I get home all jetlagged and have my extra day off to recover, l can sit on my couch and watch 3 episodes in a row!

The best thing about this show is that it keeps getting better and better with each season. No shark jumping here Fonzie!

Just got done watching the episode where Hank was shot by the twins.
I know it's a show but those 1911's only hold 7 round mag. Extended mags are available but they didn't use them. However, that was a bad ass episode

I hope Walt kills Hank and then bangs Marie. Marie loves the rush of being bad (recall her shoplifitng), and if she somehow finds out about Walt's alter ego, I could see the character going for it.

Wow aggressive! All i want to know before they wrap up the show is how Skylar was named. It seems so inappropriate for her character!

Haha thats pretty messed up.
I think Walt will definitely kill Hank I just don't know how this will all play out exactly. Hank is going to be pretty pissed if he finds out it was him with Jessie in the RV in the junkyard. He'll probably need more than just the book to put that together but still, I think it'll happen.

It was Saskachewan, but the final operation was in Alberta. The GP found it and he was sent to a specialist, then that specialist had to send him to another and there were over month waits to see them. The Cancer wasn't in danger of reaching the lymphatic system so there was no rush, but a year is a very long time to wait. It was very frustrating for him and the family.

No way that happens. Marie carries herself too much as a goody two shoes for that to happen. As well as constantly telling others what to do and how to act like she's some sort of center of morality. Lastly, the shoplifting seemed to have less to so with the thrill and more to do with addiction and stress.
The way everyone reacted to Walt's gambling story makes me think they'd roll over on him in a nanosecond if they knew It was something truly serious and illegal. The only reason Hank may bide his time is cause he knows he may look bad as Walt was under his nose the entire time. In fact, you can bet Heisenberg tries to use that angle to keep Hank quiet.
Not sure if Hank dies. Absolutely certain Walt does in the end.
Or maybe he stays kingpin but has nothing but money left, utterly miserable over the decisions he's made and evil he's caused.

Hank definitely takes some time to plan his next move. Even if only the writers can't really have the DEA swarm the house next episode. I guess they could, we all saw the flash forward at the beginning of the seaon. Walt's flushed out eventually. But don't see it happening so quickly. As others mentioned, I also think he confronts Walt and asks him to give himself up. Walt will go all Heisenberg on him which may or may not end up in Hanks death.
The big confrontation I'm waiting for is Jesse v Walt. Jesse could be the one to stop him. Especially if he finds out how Walt gambled with Brocks life. Though having Jesse die, or Walt kill Jesse, would really give the series the dark bloodbath it's been hinted it's going after. That would be a GoT Red Wedding type of moment.

Not only that, but Walt paid for Hank's medical bills. Not sure how Hank could take Walt down without implicating himself. At the very least, he would lose his job the same way his predecessor did. I think he makes a deal with Walt to leave NM and never come back, which sends Walt into hiding, only to have something happen to Jessie involving the drug cartels which brings Walt out of hiding a year later to save him (hence that future scene where he buys the gun).

I feel innaproprietly excited for the return and the final 8 episodes...like, I feel like a kid. Guilty I should be thinking about more important things than this.
This show is so freaking fantastic...the way they managed to take a humble protagonist and slowly turn the audience against him without knowing exactly where and when it happened.
Ending on a high note which I like instead of dragging the series out. The way its leading there is no way this ends well for Walt. Or maybe it will, as a happy ending for Walt is at this point an unhappy ending for the audience. I really have no clue which way its going to go which has me extra intruiged.

Breaking bad is an amazingly well made show:
Hank & Jessie are the protagonists while Walt is the antagonist. Hank, by virtue of all he has been through due to Walt, should "win" at the end.
