I can see it now on some lizard world after a delivery.

Lizard 1 - "sszzzzy ttsssk psycnet bleah"

Tranlsation - "Is Psychnet considered dark or white meat?"

Lizard 2 - "hrrrzt blean bud"

Translation - "I don't know but I bought a delicious chardonnay to go with dinner"

I'm pretty stoked to see what the alien NPC (and later PC) races are going to look like.

Anyone know of a good chart breakdown of the ship stats as they're currently known?

When it comes to speed, apparently the top end is going to be

M50 modded > 350R modded > 350R stock > M50 stock

I bought both in the hopes I can make fast, stealthy courier ships. For delivering legitimate cargo of course.

From ir previous post

they have become much more successful at getting money out of the fanbase for in game items and services and that model brings in significantly larger amounts of players who are all the more eager to pay for things.
To me if you are selling in game items for real dollars that is a pay to win model or as other posters have mentioned pay to save time. The existance of items which reward ridiculous hours of grinding or a cash payment bug me. I much perfer the old xwing vs tie where pure skill and strategy decided who would win. I like the rpg aspects but the whole grind it out to upgarde thing gets tiring.

So judging from that table the Hornet is the best option for a dog fighter? I don't understand the break-down. How much modification could one do the ship?

The Hornet is the best pure dog fighter, but it won't have the cargo room or range of a more rounded fighter like the 325A. There's still a lot of things we don't know about the ships either, like how fast any of them really are or what kind of fuel capacity/efficiency they have. Modifications include things like different types of engines, shields, weapons, tractor beams, cargo holds, stealth, and a lot we don't know about yet

I wonder if they'll eventually make a carrier type ship. Launch all Vipers!

I purchased a Hornet because I figured a combat ship would get blown up a lot and lifetime insurance (free replacements) would be nice. It would also give me a lot of options for escort or attack missions.

I bought the Starfarer with LTI because the Star Citizen forums were going on about how the new information about the economic model meant that this was going to be a great cargo and fuel hauler = cash cow. As a juicy target, insurance helps too but unfortunately, the cargo isn't insured.

They should start a program to insure cargo too inside the game, real-life shipping has had insurance and underwriters for hundreds of years.

You'll have to be incredibly wealthy in the game or join a powerful guild to get a carrier or be able to use one.

There are several guilds out there with Corvettes right now as their capital ships. You could only get these ships if you contributed $1250 in the original Kickstarter campaign IIRC.

They will be, and it will be more expensive based on the risk of the route. If you're trading in UEE space with little risk, it will be a Risk Level 1 and should be pretty cheap insurance. If you plan on trading to alien territory or crossing unsafe areas the risk level will go up and you'll pay more for the insurance. At Risk Level 5 you cannot buy insurance for cargo
