Well too bad it looks like team orders may have ruined what would have been a great Kimi win.
Good for Seb though. He crushed it when he had a chance while Kimi was in the pits.
At least Stroll didn't crash. That's a positive for him after his struggles and in a car that's poor around this circuit.

Alonso doing great at Indy so far. Has been in 1st for quite a few laps.
Scott Dixon involved in a spectacular crash, doing a full somersault, with another car literally driving by underneath while he was midair.

Alonso out of the race with engine failure. Seems about right.

Really crap race. Last 100 laps have been almost entirely under caution. I'd be interested to see the final tally. It has to be about 1/3 of the entire distance under caution.

Oh Honda....so close, yet so....Honda.
Lewis Hamilton beaking off about the quality of IndyCar drivers. Put your money where your mouth is, pretty boy.

This photo is awesome...
As a side note, that Scott Dixon crash was insane. Glad to see him walk away. Anytime I see a car cut in two I can't help but think about Alex Zanardi....

Decent race, but a few issues. Hamilton really had a good strategy to move up so much.
These cars really aren't great at Monaco. Hardly any overtaking, and I miss the ability for them to attempt a lunge at the Nouvelle Chicane. No one was even close to trying that. Yes, they are fast but I want to see some overtaking.
The tires...what is going in Pirelli? Ultra Soft make the car skittish when cooled down like that? And they shouldn't last so long! Really bad. They need to get that figured out.
Hopefully Montreal is more interesting on track.
Oh, and at least Stroll was classified! I didn't think he'd survive Monaco. I would imagine the home track pressure at Montreal is going to be tough for the kid.

The extra width of the cars didn't do any favours to racing at Monaco. It's still a wonderful spectacle and awesome to watch them through the cars around between tight barriers.

It's more than just the extra width though. They couldn't get close to each other.

I think a true ultra soft would do wonders at Monaco. Make it a 3 stopper. Then strategy makes the race interesting. Although Crofty may actually have a blue flag inspired aneurism if they did that.

Anyone in/coming to Montreal to take in the GP this year?
Looks like a fantastic weather weekend for a change.

Unless some miracle occurs in the next 24 hours, I will not be attending this year. Instead I'm going to Florida in November to watch Miami vs Notre Dame CFB.
Hopefully I'll be back next year!
Fingers crossed Stroll can buck the trend and have a good showing for the home crowd.

Won't be making it out. Maybe one day...
Today with Shaw Freerange I'll be watching/listening to FP2 on my third monitor. Good time of day for it!

That was a pretty exceptional Q3. If you have it sitting on your PVR, watch it.
