Play that game 10 times and the Flames win 9 of them

Ridiculously bad luck but they probably deserved one win on the trip

To be fair. Mangiapane (not for lack of effort) and Backlund have been the weakest links on both lines. So far it seems the team goes as Lindholm goes and he has been steady eddy all year. Problem is, no one else save Tkachuk and his extracurricular activities seems to be able to drag themselves or the team into games.

And Gaudreau is culprit #1 IMO. Either the league has the book on Gaudreau now or hes just not emotionally invested this year.

My fuse for patience for Treliving to do his actual job is getting short as well.

Is it okay if we talk about a coaching change after a loss?

Listen, I like Ward but I think he needs to be put back into an Assistant role.

This team has only done well because of (usually) insane goaltending, every other metric and eye test this season is DOWN.

Ironically, Vegas mis-fired Gallant for terrible goaltending/defense when all their other categories were high up in the league.

I genuinely think we should bring in Gallant even at risk to this season, this team needs a massive change.

Does anyone here really think this team has a legit shot to win the Stanley Cup?

Even the most positive posters on this board can't really believe that, can they?

That line has no chemistry.

Backlund looks terrible on that line.

At least Mangiapane has games where he looks like he fits in but yea neither one are top 6 caliber at this point in their careers.

Ok perfect time for a change; Gallant would be a great start. Then let’s get that RHS winger that is out in rumerville and get this ship straightened out. Follow it up be a cup win and all will be great. Maybe even draft a super star with the oilers 3rd round pick, to add a cherry to what will be the flames being the team of the decade.

Sometimes I feel like I’m more upset than any of the players except for Rittich after a Flames loss

Nope. Perimeter play all game. Would lose 9 out of 10.

Well at least they weren't shut out, and the guys should be nice and rested to start off their break!

Stinkers happen but Flames make an art form out of it.

Tough call. Recent history suggests the hot teams heading into the playoffs tend to go on runs. Look at st.louis. look at Colorado and what they did to us.

Really depends on how this team reacts coming out of this extended break. And if Treliving can actually do his job.

No coaching change. No trades. Nothing can ever be done to this roster as it is perfectly constructed with championship players who are above reproach. The interim coach? Absolutely perfect fit. The answers are in the room.

Play like that every game and we'd be bottom of the league, damn you gotta be smoking the finest #### ever to believe otherwise.

Aw hell naw. Laviolette or Gallant. Both are rock solid options. Keep that ego monster away from this team.

When I think of a player that looks like they don't care, it's James Neal.

That being said, I think trading him prior to the last year of his contract makes the most sense as far as asset management goes realistically.

I think it is more; He could be distracted away from the game, or just not in prime shape. He doesn't seem to have the stamina he has in the past. I think Flames should take a look at maximizing Johnny's worth while we can before other teams see more years of inconsistency. I also think they should look at trading Backlund before his shelf life expires.
