To me, it’s about respect. For the opponent, for the referees, for the game.

Tom Wilson doesn’t respect any of that.

They call that bringing the game into disrepute elsewhere but apparently not the nhl.

And it happens in other contact sports too - basketball, football, lacrosse and even rugby. Is hockey worse? Maybe. But I can’t say that for sure.
