Dallas has 14 loser points in 52 games!

Cup finals to no playoffs, fine line... although 4 points with a game in hand is doable

Calgary needs to shut down Markstrom for the year. Pull anyone with talent, get as many young players some minutes and go a nice 0-6 down the stretch to slide into that 26-29th range, maximize the draft picks.

I assume Calgary's last 4 games will be Cancelled unless they win the next two and the Jets win one or less

And carry more IOUs for their partners into next year? Not likely.

So those last 4 games against Vancouver should answer the question about a tree falling in the forest.

With a Las Vegas loss, it looks like the Hurricanes have a pretty good chance of being first in the league.

Vegas, NY Islanders, Colorado and Carolina have allowed the fewest goals in the league.
Carolina, Vegas and Colorado are the top 3 teams by point percentage.
Vegas, Colorado and Carolina are also the top 3 teams in goal differential.

The Oilers defeated the Canucks and that clinches a playoff spot for them.

The Sharks are the spoilers as they lead 4-2 over the Avalanche. That is doing a huge favour for the Wild. The three way race for first place in the West division continues!

Pretty pathetic playoff races with no real drama this year. The East is completely clinched. One more win for Nashville and they'll be in. North is pretty much set as Winnipeg likely can't choke this away, and St. Louis pretty much can't be caught. Some jockeying at the top of the Divisions as two of them have really defined splits from 3 to 4. The Jets are so scared of the Oilers they pretty much stepped aside to ole the Habs into third.

Know what’s pretty crazy about this McDavid season - he actually has 11 games with no points.

Meaning he has 91 points in the other 39 games...so 2.3 PPG in the games where he’s not held off the scoresheet completely.

That franchise is so undeserving.

I'd be curious to know how many points Mcdavid and Drasaitl have each into the empty net.

This all started when the Oilers hired a competent coach. Stupid Tippett

I will assume you’re joking.

Clearly competent coaches can help organize garbage and get the most out of their players. The years of mismanagement is great but sometimes effective decisions get made. It’s terrible

I don’t want to say anything good about Edmonton who are no good, so you will not get any further remarks from me

I expect that the next time I post you’ll be right there again. See you then

He was hired in May, 2019 and started coaching the regular season in October 2019. So this is his 2nd season as coach.

Yes Dino we know what happened in the play in round. But it doesn’t take away that with 11 games left last year when covid shut down the league they were 4th in points in the conference and 5th in points percentage in the conference under Tippett. I think that’s what he was referring to. Also, 68-42-11 record in his 2 seasons as coach.

Teams like Colorado and Vegas are at the top of what normally would be the Western Conference, but Edmonton has improved under Tippett.

I believe it’s something like McDavid 7, Draisaitl 5.

Last year it worked against Draisaitl because he was on the ice for something around 9 empty net goals against and finished -7. This year he leads the entire league in plus minus at +32.
