Calgary resident here - Rittich is no slouch, played excellent this year. I just hope we don't see Lack in at all tonite, the Flames will know more of his weaknesses than everyone else! LGD!
Quote:
We won't see Lack until Kinkaid gives up 4 midway through the 2nd again
Quote:
Kinkaid is due for an inexplicable shutout.
Quote:
Lack has cool pads tho!
The Powerkill

This second unit consistently does absolutely nothing.
Quote:
Yep. Powerkill. The dumpin should be outlawed on the pp
Quote:
Terrible power play
Quote:
We're going way too soft into the board battles. Dump and chase isn't working for us. Everything needs to be off the rush.

Kinkaid is actually playing decent and we can't score on this guy that nobody's ever heard of before.

thus are the chronicles of rittich

This flames goalie is making me nervous. He doesn't come out of the crease from what I see. Very hard to get pucks through him. He's well positioned.
Woulda loved that post shot to go in.

Another one of those “were playing great, too bad we can’t score on a rookie goaltender” games

tkachuk is a POS

He's a guy id love on the devils
Quote:
curious to see if tkachuk goes after anyone
Quote:
Hoping Tkachuk and Ferland don't pull any dirty #### tonight. Already dealt with enough of that bs the past month.
Quote:
Odds Tkachuk cheapshots one of our stars? Seems to be the new theme
Quote:
Tkachuk falls down more than Wood
Mony’s first rebound
Quote:
Kinky left a huge ####in rebound there. No way Vatanen had any expectation of Monahan getting an easy shot like that
Quote:
0-1
Monahan slammed in a Hamilton rebound. The rebound may not have even hit the ice. He just hit that in perfectly.
Quote:
Yea it is dead here, weird. That goal sucked, Vatanen wtf man.
Quote:
Vatanen’s peripherals must be pretty bad
Quote:
Enough is enough is enough is enough.
We can't follow every loss with multiple losses anymore. We used up most of that margin for error over the last 5 or 6 weeks.
Quote:
Kinkaid gives up more rebounds off his chest than any goalie I have ever seen
Quote:
Guys.....guys....
It's one goal. There's 34 minutes left in the game.
Johnny the Hometown Hero
Quote:
God I love Gaudreau. Love my local boy.
Quote:
No!
I hate Johnny Hockey so much. Why couldn’t he have played for the Devils?
Quote:
Ugh
Hall just outstretches Bratt on the 2 on 1. Johnny gets it back and goes backhand 5 hole on a mini breakaway. Ratfarts.
Quote:
It's dope hay Johnny Hockey wears 13 to honor his idol, Nico
Quote:
Kinkaid should have had that one…
Quote:
Johnny no go away please.
Quote:
What was Kinkaid looking at? I,think he should have stopped it.
Quote:
Kinkaid’s five hole was massive on Gaudreau’s goal. Meh
Quote:
It's not a bad goal because it's a breakaway
**** OFF KINKAID!
HOW ABOUT A ****IN SAVE YOU ****ING BUM?
Quote:
Kinkaid what the **** you ****ing leaky prick. And what the **** was the defense doing?
Quote:
johnny hockey is good..... but come on kink wtf was that?
Quote:
That's the kind of goal that I'd ****in pull his pathetic passenger ass.
**** HIM.
I WANT A NEW BACKUP NEXT YEAR.
YOU'RE DONE KINKAID!
DONE!
Go play in the AHL you worthless ****.
Quote:
"can't keep those legs closed" sounds like my ex-girlfriend
Quote:
I don't know what Kinkaid was doing on the Gaudreau goal
He just stood there and never bothered to close the five hole. That was the easiest goal Gaudreau will ever score.
Quote:
Severson was so far up Gaudreau's ass on that play, you could have mistaken him for a proctologist. There is no reason to leave a gaping wide fivehole like that and let a slow puck just go through your five hole like that. That should be the end of any NHL goalies career if they let one in like that.
Mony with yet another GWG somehow
Quote:
I would say at about 8 minutes left in the third kinkaid let’s in a back breaking 3rd goal
Quote:
Holy **** that was awful by Kinkaid. Why did he even start?
Quote:
Pull this piece of garbage
Quote:
PULL HIM PULL HIM PULL HIM PULL HIM.
**** you too Hynes, with your stupid bull**** ****in choice to play him.
Quote:
lol....Kinkaid is such trash. Positioning is terrible.
Quote:
Just got home
And I come home to this?!
Quote:
MAKE A SAVE ONE TIME KINKAID
ONE TIME
Quote:
And Kinkaid completes his meltdown. Throw Lack out in the 3rd.
Quote:
Flames look like a team possessed tonight.. Feel bad for Hall
Our defense and goaltending is letting the team down
Quote:
Kinkaid is WORTHLESS.
He won't be in the NHL next year full time, I'll bet you on it.
Hear me now, believe me later.
Getting outplayed by another backup right now. That's like 19 bad goals this year on 51 goals allowed. That will get you an .893 save percentage.
Quote:
Man, Andy Greene just stands out for all the wrong reasons this year…..
Quote:
But yeah, i cant even blame it all on kinkaid
Wth is greene doing there and vatanen on the 1st or 2nd goal could have done more
Quote:
It actually looked like Kinkaid was not trying. If you look at his eyes he knew where the puck was. He just didn’t move.
Quote:
This clueless coaching staff should put Lack in net in the third.
Quote:
Booooooooooooooooooooo
Quote:
To Be Honest ...
… that pass from Gaudreau to Monahan before the third goal was sweet.
Quote:
Kinkaid
He’s like that 3B in baseball that fills in for a week or 2 hits .390 & everybody loves him. Then he’s forced into playing for an extended period of time and hits .190, he’s just not good enough to play consistently. They desperately need Schneider back
Quote:
God, this place becomes a nightmare when the team is losing.
Quote:
Ya think? It's like black friday at Walmart or something in here.
This team has issues on defense, with forwards playing defense, and with an underperforming backup goalie who's getting shelled by Monahan and Gaudreau.
It Burns

Hall just scored against Calgary ...
... Dougie Hamilton with the assist.

Chia is a like toddler when it comes to trades involving elite players, he should have never been trusted without supervision.
Quote:
****ing Gaudreau. Electric player. But I hate him so much.
Lazy turn over up high causes a 2 on 1 against. Hauls down a New Jersey player in the neutral zone instead of trying to get back to defend said give away, then cherry picks his way to a break away goal to make it 2-1 Calgary.
And has anyone ever seen a player in pain on the bench after a shift as much as him? He's always crying about some hit or slash.
Just loathsome lol.
Quote:
Twice now a Flames player has wrapped up a Devils player by the arm and hauled him down from behind. On the one play Calgary scored about a minute later.
The refs must have peeling an orange in both cases. Since Treliving went to the league last year, the **** they have gotten away with since as a team is astounding.
Gaudreau just added another cherry to his bucket.

Had a thought while watching the Flames turtle away the 3rd so I checked out some numbers
When leading, the Flames only have a 43% goals for percentage, indicating that they usually lose leads rather than extend them. The good teams in the league hover between 53% and 60% goals for while leading. 43% is good for 26th in the league.
The Flames need to work on closing out leads because they are too good of a team to be this bad. They're 5th league wide in goals for percentage while tied and 10th when trailing.

86% possession for the Devils in the 3rd. That's beyond horrific and a heck of a way to erase 2 good periods. Thankfully it didn't go that way...but eesh...86%?
I wouldn’t be too hard on the team.
They did just enough to make sure Monahan got the gwg.
Another good road game. Good to see Rittich continuing to play solid.
A lot of negativity again about the 3rd period. It was mentioned on the broadcast the team didn't get in until after 4am the day prior and didn't practice as planned. That, and there's a ton of parity in this league. A stat said the Devils were 9-3 at home as of late. They were down, got a power play goal and made a hard push. It's not the slight on the Flames some are making it.
Just as there's been a lot of doom and gloom in January despite us playing at a 0.750 win percentage since after Christmas.
No teams are going to dominate start to finish and run .900. The expectations and what it will take to satisfy some fans is grueling to read.
This was a fun and exciting game to watch and glad to see we got the win. This team has really put it together over the last eight weeks in terms of tightening things up and playing solid defense. Hamonic and Brodie have quietly rebounded nicely from a slow start to the year and the entire team looks on the same page.
If they can fix the power play and add or get some secondary scoring from within, this team could be scary down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Watched Gulutzan's post game comments. He didn't like that they sat back in third and will address it. He said he played some guys more in the third to get some push back.
It was good to see Backlund's line step up in that regard. It was a great road win but you can't sit back and let the opponent come at you.
Hopefully Gulutzan can get his message across and they are in the same position many more times but push hard and play in the opponent's end more.
This (the fact I cannot see these) has ruined my CP experience! Kidding, but man is it annoying that the page apparently doesn't exist everytime. Must be that my tablet and phone are mobile. Can't think of anything else.
Anyway happy to see a win, that 3rd period though .. Glad Rittich got another win too.
Keep 'er rollin boys!!
I had this problem as well, on the bottom left hand corner of the page select CP Style 2 instead of CP Style 2A and the tweets show up.
