They're gonna be buyers. these types of deals are not the meat of the deadline. those are yet to come.

Yeah and they haven't exactly been promising. .913 career SV%, sure, but that's as a backup facing lighter competition.

I don’t like the return of Jeff Carter either.

Kings are definitely making some good moves here. Phaneuf has worked out really well so far. I’m starting to really think a wild card position is our only shot as the Ducks and Sharks just keep winning as well.

Kuemper has been the one winning lately with Quick being so-so. Honestly this doesn't scare me...also, giving up on catching teams a point or two up is pretty ridiculous IMO.

Problem is that we have to play Arizona 3 times. Kuemper I think beat us a couple times earlier this season. We’d better figure him or whoever out because if we don’t, we can kiss the playoffs goodbye

Flames used to routinely beat the Coyotes with Smith in goal. Its the team in front of that goalie that gives up a ton of chances.

Playing Arizona 3 times should not be a "problem"

It shouldn’t be, but Buffalo did beat us, Rangers beat us, we’re winless against the Oilers. I’d certainly rather play these guys than the Bruins another 3 times, but definitely no guarantees. Hopefully he doesn’t feel a need to steal a win.

Raanta has better GAA and SV% than Smith right now
AND Far better than what Smitty had last season with a much better Coyotes team in front of him.

The team is only worse because they traded Smith. They added a number 1 center and two top 4 defenseman and still plummeted to last in the league because they lost Smith to us for scraps
