Default Day 1 (PM of February 4 - AM of February 5)

Action begins at 18:05 with Mixed Doubles Curling, Sweden vs Switzerland and Australia vs Norway. I believe some of this will be shown live on Sportsnet 1.

The Qualification runs for Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle begins at 19:45 and should be shown on CBC. Laurie Blouin, Jasmine Baird, and Fort McMurray’s Brooke Voigt compete for Canada.

At 21:10 Canada takes on Finland in Women’s Hockey, this will be shown live on CBC.

Curling starts again at 23:05 and features Canada taking on Sweden. This should be shown live on CBC.

The Qualification Round in the Men’s Individual - Normal Hill Ski Jumping starts at 23:20. Calgary’s Matthew Soukup and Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes are the Canadian competitors. I’m not sure if this will be on tv anywhere but it will be available on the CBC Sports website.

At 00:45 Cross-Country Skiing starts with the Women’s 2 x 7.5km Skiathalon. Katherine Stewart-Jones, Dahria Beatty, Cendrine Browne, and Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt are the Canadian racers. I believe parts of this will be shown live on CBC.

The Women’s 3000m Speed Slating Event begins at 01:30. Valerie Maltais, Ivanie Blondin, and Isabelle Weidemann are the Canadian skaters in this event. This should be on CBC.

At 01:40 Japan faces Denmark and the Czech Republic face Sweden in Women’s Hockey.

Canada competes in the Mixed 4 x 6km Biathlon Relay that begins at 02:00, I think parts of this will be shown on CBC.

The 2nd Qualification run in Men’s Moguls Skiing starts at 03:00, I think parts of this will be shown on CBC. Laurent Dumais will attempt to join Mikael Kingsbury in the Final.

At 03:45 the First Round in the Women’s Individual- Normal Hill Ski Jumping begins. This should be shown in part on Sportsnet or Sportsnet 1. Calgarians Abigail Strate and Alexandria Loutitt are the Canadians competing. The Final will begin at 04:35.

At 04:00 the Heats begin in Women’s 500m Short Track Speed Skating, this should be on TSN 1, 2, or 3. Kim Boutin who won Bronze in this event is in Heat 3, Alyson Charles is in Heat 5, and Florence Brunelle is in Heat 6.

Run 1 in Men’s Individual Luge begins at 04:10, this should be on either Sportsnet or Sportsnet 1. Run 2 will start at 05:50. Reid Watts is the Canadian competitor.

The Final in Men’s Freestyle Moguls begins at 04:30 and should be live on CBC. Mikael Kingsbury, the GOAT of the sport, will be defending his Gold Medal.

Heats in the Men’s 1000m Short Track Speed Skating start at 04:38. This should be on either TSN 2, 3, or 4. Jordan Pierre-Gilles is in Heat 3, Pascal Dion is in Heat 4.

Canada faces the USA in Mixed Curling at 05:05 on CBC.

At 05:23 the Quarter-finals in Mixed 2000m Short Track Relay will begin. This should be on a TSN channel, Canada will be in the second race. The Semi-final is at 05:53. The Final is 06:18!

The USA faces ROC in Women’s Hockey at 06:10.

I watched some of the moguls qualifying and had a really difficult time figuring out what a good or bad run. After an hour my guesses were still off by a ton, and commentators weren't doing a lot to help understand what made for a great run. Just not my kind of event, I guess.

Biathalon is one of my guilty pleasure sports. I don't really have an idea why I enjoy it but I always end up watching anyway.

The best part of the biathlon is the penalty lap for missing. It's like survivor. One missed shot and you're out, and made to suffer. The medals are determined by the half a dozen or so athletes the did not miss.

That slopestyle course for the Olympics looks pretty cool. I like the theme that they put together for the jumps.

Sad to see but woman’s hockey still isn’t really a thing. Can anyone really be interested in just the USA and Canada still?

Really thought this game would be closer, but damn the ladies are just picking corners.

Feel bad for Finland after they kept it close in the first and vs the US.

Is this the 1st medal for Canada?
