This was such an emotional day. I had to PVR the end of the match and watch after the kids were in bed so I could sit and enjoy every last moment. It's too bad they didn't win, but they did give us moments of brilliance, I so wanted Federer to serve an ace on match point. Seeing Federer retire hits so hard for Nadal and his fans. I started Nadal's career cheering against Federer and now I regret that I didn't appreciate him more in his prime. It wasn't until 2017 Wimbledon that I started cheering for Federer and appreciating his greatness. It seems his whole career went by in a blink of an eye.

I’m guilty of this too, spent too much energy hoping Rafa would remain behind Roger instead of enjoying the show. For each tear Rafa shed for his retiring friend, I think he shed another for the thought that he will probably be doing this same thing within a year. I think I’m actually going to miss them both equally.

Well said IJ, 100% Rafa's on borrowed time, I'm so not ready for him to retire but I have to come to grips it's coming very soon. This year I treasured every match he played and watched almost all of them because I don't know when it's going to end. This year's AO I broke down after he won it was so unexpected it was his 2017 AO moment.

Farewell to the icon that was the image of elegance in tennis. No doubt this is the first strike of the beginning of the end of the greatest tennis era we have ever seen.

Felix was down 5-2 in the tie-break, he has saved three set points and we're currently at 9-9

That's so tough, Felix saved a handful of set points and then dumps a swinging volley into the net. Berrettini wins the tie-break 13-11

Break! Felix with a strong return game.
Edit: Felix takes set 2 6-4 and we need a match tie-break to decide who gets the 2 points.

Felix played well but credit to Berrettini he was just a little bit better in the breakers.
Nadal pulled out as well so Cam Norrie is there now. You could clearly see yesterday he wasn't 100% physically, it this wasn't for Roger he never would have gone.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, after a joint press conference with Federer, Nadal told Spanish reporters at London's O2 Arena he needed to return home.
"I'm not good, I'm not good," Nadal said. "The truth is these have been difficult weeks in that sense. Few, very few hours of sleep, a bit of stress in general, slightly more difficult situations than usual at home.
"As a result, well, I've had to deal with all that, which is a different pressure to the one you're used to in your professional life. But, well, luckily everything is good and we are much more calm. And in that sense, I've been able to come here, which for me was the most important thing."

So Fed is done and Rafa has left so Novak decides "No problem, guys, I got this".

8 to 4 for Team Europe after Day 2. Can Andy Roddick or Mardy Fish be the coach for Team World in Vancouver?

John Mac has had questionable decisions to say the least. Having Felix play a doubles match then face Novak is a tough ask
