A police officer in Colorado is on paid administrative leave after he parked his patrol car on a set of train tracks, leaving a young woman in the back to be struck by a freight train.
Working at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration must be surreal.
I can only imagine the marching orders inside the regulatory agency this month: “In addition to updates on the COVID-19 bivalent vaccine, monkeypox, infant formulas, new Nutrition Fact labels and a product recall over listeria, we need to issue a PSA about cooking chicken in NyQuil.”
My faith in humanity keeps getting rocked, one deranged TikTok challenge at a time.
One main observation about this, seems to be a general consensus that no one really heard about this "challenge" until the media started reporting on it. Now its a clickbait title for every news source.
I took the comment below out of this as how old do you have to be before your brain is forms enough to know that frying up chicken and NyQuil is probably a bad idea? As with the Tide Pod challenge, I just don't understand why young people would think this would be fun to do. Can TikTok not moderate some of this stuff?

That’s the craziest part about these TikTok challenges. They celebrate the lowest common denominator. They revel in recklessness and anti-social behaviour. They nudge young people, who don’t yet have fully formed brains, to abandon any burgeoning calibration of risk and consequence.
what better way for china to destabilize our democracy than to get our future adults to waste their time cooking chicken in cold medicine or shoving frankfurters into their ears?
Mayor Nenshi on taking a canoe on the bow during the 2013 flood:
“I can’t believe I actually have to say this, but I’m going to say it. The river is closed. You cannot boat on the river.
I have a large number of nouns that I can use to describe the people I saw in a canoe on the Bow River today. I am not allowed to use any of them. I can tell you, however, that I have been told that despite the state of local emergency, I’m not allowed to invoke the Darwin law.”

The current generation is trying to make Idiocracy a true prophecy.
This is a crazy story about 8 teenage girls, three aged 13 and three aged 14, being charged with murder in Toronto. I think that during a press conference recently the police mentioned that is was a homeless person that the girls attacked and stabbed.
