It feels like nearly every year in the last decade a race or two has gotten dropped after the prelim schedule release. I'd imagine Baku is a bit tentative at this point.

That US-MEX-Brazil triple header could be ugly for the teams...heading into Brazil dead-tired at the end of a long season seems like a recipe for some muggings.

Finally Canada is not part of a back to back. So stupid that they did Baku and Montreal on consecutive weekends.

Can we even get 3 races with rain?

Latifi being released by Williams at the end of the season. Unless another team wants a pay driver, I think this closes the book on his F1 career.

Sucks that Latifi's pace in F2 never translated to F1.

Was nice having two Canadians to cheer for the past three seasons.

Agreed. Was never a fan of people trashing Stroll and Latifi all the time. Both super nice guys, but neither has had a ton of success. Although Stroll is obviously more accomplished than Latifi.

It made me happy to see they both got a warm reception in Montreal. Based on the online vitriol I was afraid they’d get booed. Too bad they’ve both had such dismal season this year.

If AM can get their #### together, Lance scoring a podium or two more is still in the cards I think.

Maybe Alonso can rearguard him all the way to a win (like he did for Ocon)

It's funny how caught up people get and forget just how much talent it takes to drive these cars. The differential between the top and bottom is also heavily swayed by the quality or design of the car.

I like Singapore. Looking forward to this weekend and seeing what novel and unique way Ferrari discovers to throw yet another race win away.

I'd like to see them give a King of the hill format a try at Monaco (or other tracks where the tow isn't strong).

Split the field into groups two groups of ten drivers based on practice speeds, odds and evens. All ten cars spread out on track and let them race for lap time. Slowest driver gets eliminated and pits the next time around, until three remain.

The top 6 advance to the pole shootout and you repeat the process. Same tyres throughout, parc ferme between sessions.

It's a bit more miles on the power units, but easier on tyre allocation for the weekend.

It will be really good for the fans watching at the track as there are more cars making more laps and should make for good TV watching as well.

Kinda close to the Power Hour format that was used in 2002 and should have the field set after 6 flying laps so bang on the 12 they were allowed under that scheme.

With 24 races and 6 sprints that's gotta be putting stress on teams. I think they may be getting to "too much". They certainly need more power units, or the back half of the season is going to be penalization city, which is no fun.
