That's probably a pretty common prospective even among pros. I think you get more research value/$ with probes and telescopes. But in terms of operational efficiency and technology development that can feed back into the general economy, we are at a phase where human exploration would do way more, way faster.
In the long run you probably need to maintain a good balance.
When you look at the advancements in material sciences, electronics circuitry, communications tech... I think sending humans to space safely drove all of that way faster than just shooting a robot up there could have, but the investment was incredibly high in comparison.

There's still a lot of probes being sent out there regularly. We just don't hear regular news about all of them. For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._System_probes

This is going to sound lame, but honestly sometimes when I'm feeling super stressed out I zone out and start thinking about Voyager 1 out there in space going a zillion miles an hour with the Golden Record of our history. Nick Sagan's voice greeting aliens on behalf of children, music of diverse cultures, and yes even the oopsie greeting of a Nazi.
It calms me, but also leaves you in awe that this thing will still be in space one day when the earth becomes cosmic dust again.

That Chuck Berry is recorded on a record flying through the universe brings a smile to my face. I'm glad they didn't send that spacecraft in 2022.

If I can stress you out again….
What if aliens find it and have the capability of travelling here. Good or bad?

Definitely good. An alien race who unlocks space travel to the extent they can go from galaxy to galaxy is certainly advanced enough that they would not genocide us or subjugate us.
If they need resources, surely they’ve found them elsewhere in the universe already.
Plus when they hear the Chuck Berry don’t they will think we are a super cool species.

I think seeing a moon landing and people walking on the moon in HD or 4k would be amazing considering how it looked last time. I'm excited!

After several months of discussions, NASA optics and micrometeoroid experts working on the James Webb Space Telescope have figured out how to reduce micrometeor damage to the $10 billion machine: turn it around.
Webb has suffered 14 measurable micrometeoroid hits to its primary mirror, which is about what NASA has expected, the space agency said. Still, after a serious strike in late May, the Webb team isn't taking any chances.
"The higher-energy impact observed in May was a rare statistical event both in terms of energy, and in hitting a particularly sensitive location on Webb's primary mirror," NASA said. While rare, the team still saw fit to disrupt Webb's schedule by changing its orientation to face away from what the team termed the "micrometeoroid avoidance zone (MAZ)."

In its short history, this telescope is one of the greatest machines ever invented. The visual results coming back from it are completely awe-inspiring.
