For texture yes, but they're just too damn sweet for me. My go to is Ambrosia apples, as long as they're fresh. Fuji is a close second

The sweet crispness is just divine. It's the Platonic ideal of an apple.

Heated seats and heated steering wheel. So nice on the cold mornings.
Plus, it’s good for the environment, no need to warm vehicle up for comfort, just turn on them on and go!

Agreed, also parking in the garage.
I can't understand those people that pile crap up in their garage so they can't park in it or only park 1 vehicle.
Idiots

Follow up with the surgeon today, for the girl. Path came back free & clear of disease! No lymph node involvement was seen, calcium issues have settled down & her labs have her in normal ranges for those. She has to go for a whole passel of bloodwork in a couple of weeks, to check all the thyroid levels out.
Surgeon is still referring her to an endo-oncologist, for follow up. They will determine if she fits the criteria for RAI treatement, though he feels it's not likely - but, that's a them consideration, not a decision her surgeon makes. They will go over her labs again & determine if they need to adjust the thyroid hormone or not. Hopefully, it will just be a "Hi, you're fine, no RAI needed, levels are peachy, have your GP follow, see ya never" type thing.
Happy is an understatement.

I'm in Airdrie. There is no good pizza. Adequate, yes. But not good. And no, no pizza. She'll clean up the leftovers from last night, lol, and we have to go to Costco, so $1.50 hot dog meal it is.

Flying home to the 'Peg today for tomorrows west final and Jets Leafs game. I haven't been home in December in 24 years. I can't wait to see the downtown lights and be in the motherland.

My wife and I went to Zoolights tonight. It was really nice, and it was nice to get out, too.

That just blows me away in Canada. And statistically you know that there's at least a couple dozen of them on CP that keep reading posts relating to full garages and winter outside parking, staying silent because they know how ridiculous it is.

Growing up in the burbs, there was one such house on our Cul-de-Sac. Well, that family has since retired and are empty nesters. Where as a kid their double garage was half-full with junk, allowing one vehicle in, it is now completely full and overfilling to the side of their house now. It's sad, really.

My husband's employer paid for Zoolights for all the staff (which is a lot of people, as they own several different locations throughout the city) and their families last weekend. I much prefer it over the usual drunktions. It was nice, hadn't been before.
