Squid Game season 2 teaser (I also got to do the "Leo pointing at the screen" meme as I've been in that building):

Just watched the 3 part documentary American Nightmare. Pretty gripping.

“After a harrowing home invasion and kidnapping in 2015, a couple is accused of staging the ordeal when the woman reappears, haunting the couple with a new series of tortures.”

Spoiler!

If you’re interested in the JFK assassination with a time-travel twist, 11.22.63 on is excellent. It’s based on Stephen King’s book.

So question, for those who are sharing, are you having to "reload at the homebase"?

my father, in Canmore, has not stopped using my Netflix and has never "reloaded" here at my house.

The book is great but I couldn’t get into the show. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but I think maybe it’s the type of story that doesn’t translate well to the screen, like The Stand as well.

I wonder if he got that idea from a Red Dwarf episode, Tikka to Ride. A bit more comedic though.

So many of Stephen King's novels are poorly adapted to film/TV. Maybe it just feels that way because he's such a prolific writer but I have been let down too many times by some adaptations.

My wife and I were talking about this yesterday.

The best adaptations are from his novelas or short stories. The Body (Stand by Me) and Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption (Shawshank).

Green Mile is good too and was a short novel serial.

But The Shining, Carrie and Misery are also three of his shorter novels and are the better adaptations.

Griselda is fairly entertaining. Although they continuously make it a thing of pointing out how attractive the main character is. I wonder if that was written into Sofia Vergara's contract?
