Well I was curious to hear what others had experienced. I will run a few tests tonight and see what happens.

Ah, what the heck. Here's my unboxing, setup and initial gameplay.
(Yes, I realize it's Diddy and not Donkey Kong Jr. It's been that long since I played it!)

Per a friend, Shawnessey is out, but I just checked the 130th Ave Walmart, and they have about a half dozen sitting in the shelf right now. Associate said they got 14 today.

Kinda makes sense. Airdrie would serve the northern edges of Calgary up past Olds/Bowden. The numbers alone indicate it is one of the busiest stores in the region.

Just got off the phone with Purolator. They don't know where my shipment went. It was on the truck on Monday and the driver didn't know it was there. Or was never accounted for going on. At least that's what they're telling me.

I have to inform Amazon and they'll decide how to proceed. Sounds like I'll probably just get a refund.

So it doesn't look like I'll have a SNES Classic to sell. Sorry.

FWIW, walmart.ca is showing as being able to order right now. It seems to be "on" and "off" so not sure if it's a weird trickle release or a "glitch/feature" of their website...

Sooooo, just hacked my snes mini and added 50 new games (if anyone asks, yes I own them all )

Super easy, did not lose any of my saves, and now rocking the definitive snes machine with Chrono Trigger, NBA Jam, Turtles in Time, Etc.

Going to be a great weekend

It’s actually not difficult at all. Did the whole thing in about 30 mins. If really concerned there are step by step videos on YouTube already.

Disclaimer: there is Always a chance you could brick a system, but I’ve done it to my nes and snes classic. Hackachi is super reliable

I started making a collection today and just got turned off with the issues with some of the python scripts for 2 players and possible compatability issues as I was adding translations. The leg work for renaming files and folders I just go too lazy and decided to wait for a better release that's easier.

Have about 60 games now, and quite happy with the system. Did not even lose my save states when I backed up the kernel.

Between the NES Classic and SNES Classic, I now feel I have the definitive Nintendo retro machines (and game library to match)

I know RetroPi has been doing it longer, but from a collection standpoint, the look and feel of originals, with a much easier process to add more games, made it the clear choice.

Some suggestions to add, TMNT 4, Actraiser, Chrono Trigger, Sunset Riders, The rest of the DKC Trilogy, the rest of the Mega Man X trilogy
