Best Donair/Shawarma in YYC
Does anybody know the best donair/shawarma places in Calgary? I've been to a few places but wanted to try other ones.
In order from the best to worst
1. Jimmy's
2. Jerusalem
3. Pita Basket
4. Uncle Moe's
That's all the places I've had. I've also had Cedars deli but I wouldn't even consider going there again.

I dunno- Cedar's deli at Market gives you an insane amount of meat. Never had a bad experience there.

For me that isn't the problem, it's the taste to be honest. Compared to everywhere else its really bland and not authentic.

Jimmy's is overrated because they're so huge.
The Chick Pea on 8th ave and 7th?? .. street is my favourite for Shawarma. Even their falafel is awesome.

Jimmy is a card. Gave my son a lollipop last time, and his mouth was extremely blue all day. I'm sure Jimmy meant for that to happen.

But can you compare the flavour of boobs? I also prefer smaller there ... so perhaps that is tainting my opinion of Jimmy's.

I liked his mom.
For some reason she and I got along really well. I used to eat at the 20 Ave NW location at least 1 x wk. We would chat for 10-15 mins if we saw each other, really nice lady, also gave me a fair share of free Donairs.
