Now imagine that was Iggy, Gelinas and all our boys instead.

TBL were my 2nd favourite team as a kid. But it is every Flames' fans duty to hold that grudge until the day we die.

I like some of their players. Can't stand that organization.

That organisation? They have a totally different roster, new owners, a new GM, a new set of coaches. I wonder how many people currently under employment with the Lightning were there in 2004? I bet it isn't many. Maybe the fans, a few scouts, a few backroom personnel. It's incredibly silly to hate the organisation.

Hate the players who won the cup, hate that management, those owners etc. But now? Doesn't hold up, at all. It's very silly.

I'll never forgive that injustice. Tampa can die in a tire fire

Yeah. I will never forgive Tampa.
I think the worst part of the loss to them was the playoff tickets given away with the purchase of a car wash.
I would much rather lose to a team with a passionate fan base. Maybe that has changed with time, but when we lost, there was none.

In the present, I think this should be an entertaining game, as both teams are pretty fast and talented.
4-2 flames with the help of an empty netter.

Yikes. Even though Hudler hasn't been his usual self, missing him and Frolik leaves some pretty serious holes.

I predict a Ferland 1-1 for 2 pts night. He continues to shine and the goals will start tonight.

Wouldn't it be great to hear Drouin trade to Calgary announcement just before the game? Just like the good old times...

A moment of silence for Bennett and Granlund...

Tonight will be a huge success in my books as long as it isn't as boring as the Ducks game and I'm not sitting close to the obnoxious screaming fan that was there.

I expect the Flames to play hard and come away with a 4-1 victory.

5-2 Flames. Johnny with a hatty, Gio, Bennett and Hamilton all put one in the net.

Are they ever going to count a goal that Bennett scores?

What do you people expect? It's Florida. The Lightning had done very little of note up until that point. Since that time the building has been pretty full most years. Are you also mad that Carolina won the cup over Edmonton the next season, and yet has been struggling to fill the building since? Shouldn't that be a worse offense?

And this might be an unpopular stance, but here goes: Even if that goal was in during game 6 (and there's good reason to believe it was, but it's still pretty hard to tell), and if the Flames truly were the better team they would have found another way to win that game, OR, maybe, just maybe, they would have been the better team in game 7 and won that one.

Tampa was the better team, AND they deserved to win. The Flames of that year were a beautiful cinderella story, and despite the fact they were an incredibly hard-working team, they were bested by a superior talent who also worked very, very hard to earn what they did. They possibly caught a break, but it happens. Get over it, it's been over 10 years. Perhaps sportsmanship is something we all need to learn a little bit more about. Accepting defeat and congratulating the winner are qualities often associated with sportsmanship.

Like I said, I didn't expect it to be popular, but it's how I felt then and it's how I still feel today. All the talk of the possible missed goal in game 6 is a lot of sour grapes.
