I've had mine for close to a year and it looks almost brand new, durability seems to be good. I like having the 2 separate pouches and that you can push all the cards up from the bottom for easy retrieval.
I'm interested in the Machine Era kermit, do you find cards slide up easily? Also, do you put any cards on the back side or how well does that work?
|
Mine seemed like it was too small as the cards kept popping out. I also disliked the way it held cash.
The Machine Era one is awesome. Easy to push the cards up and I mostly use 2 or 3. It's not great for bus passes I've found though, they seem to get destroyed.
I usually keep my drivers license on the outside and put cash under it.

I'll give you the cash thing for sure, when it comes to the Dash I find it too clumsy to try and keep cash in it and it just stays separate in my pocket.

Stick with leather.
A lot of the wallets posted on these links are cool for tech conventions, but won't be practical for "all settings" as you've mentioned.
What's your budget?

I've always had a bulky wallet full of junk and used to use a LV that was a gift. Just felt like a suitcase no matter which pocket I used. Got this Prada bill fold style last year on sale at Holt (about 130 I believe). Love it, some don't like the snakeskin look but it's available in black leather as well. Super slim profile and always get compliments on it. Good to hold bunch of cards and a little cash.

That's why I was good pulling the trigger on the Machine Era one Kermitology recommended, not breaking the bank at $40 total for it to try out.
I've always been a leather wallet guy, so I am looking forward to how I deal with this "hard case" one. Usually when I am going out for an evening I just throw a few cards and cash into my pocket. So this should work nicely.

I am considering something like this.
I always have my phone and wallet on me and this would combine the two

It was about two years ago, but in that range. I had usually had a nicer one then used the kearl lake ones or whatever was handed out at work for day to day use. Since I got this, it's been the only wallet I've used. Super slim profile, holds 6 cards which is enough for day to day use with minor juggling if I'm going to the doctor or something. No room whatsoever for receipts, a bill fold that holds 7-8 bills without changing the aesthetic, and doesn't look ridiculous in any pocket or even dress pants. Well worth it imo

Interesting. Obviously it doesn't wreck your pants or dent your ass?

I think it wears the back pocket a bit more than nothing there, but I typically take my wallet out when I sit down.

I have a leather phone case that holds 2 pieces of ID, 2 credit cards and a few bills, plus of course my phone. This meets about 95% of my needs and is extremely convenient. I have a big ass wallet for travel and keeping my infrequently used cards that sits in the kitchen drawer most of the time
