A Flames fan who had too many Heroine Beers, oh wait I did that last year too and it was pretty authentic, barely remember the Detroit game.

My buddy is dressing up as Doug McKenzie for Hallowe'en and needs some help finding some parts of his costume.

Anyone know where to find some of those old school ear muffs?

When it comes to Halloween, the answer is to start with Valoo Vilhage

It would be too late for this year but someone could always tattoo on a zombie face. Great thing is you would never need to think of a costume again.

That looks awesome Chalms. I've yet to be successful carving any NHL symbol.

This was my nights work:

Thanks! The licks of flame were pretty delicate, and almost collapsed on me a couple times. The trick was to put the chunks back in while I trimmed back the edges.

They look great guys!

Chalms, what did you use to take the skin off around the C? I wanted to try doing that but everywhere I read said that you should be using woodworking tools and I ain't got no damn woodworking tools, yo! I thought I might just use a knife or something.

Just a utility knife! Cut around the outline first, then just whittle it back.

I'm going as a samurai but have no toy katana (
does anyone know where I can buy one, or anything resembling an asian/ninja sword?
Checked toys'r'us and value village... nothing.
Any suggestions
Thanks!

Are you just going to a house party or you going to bar? I find bouncers are randomly picky about costume accessories. They weren't fans of my Neil Diamond GH guitar last year.

Cardboard+duct tape. Cut out shape of sword x2, then tape together with tape going length wise.

Nice! I've lived in Edmonton (St. Albert actually) since 2005 and I carve that one every year. Looks so good at night with the flame too. Can't believe not once have I woken up Nov 1st to find it smashed all over the road, kinda disappointed actually.
