We love PV! We go every year and the resort we always go to is The Grande Luxx @
Vidanta. Any of the hotels on this property is a wonderful choice but they are access level backwards so if you stay at Grand Luxe you can use the pools etc. at any of the other resorts. The Rooftop pool is amazing and the views are incredible. They may have the Cirque De Soleil show now as well. You won't regret it, but like any other place avoid the sales pitch!
We have also gone a few times in August and the weather is great, it is hot, rains for like an hour and enjoyed it a tonne. The only thing is the water is a bit murky in the ocean as the rain is pushing a lot of it out to see with run off.
