Heck, the Cowboys practically already do and yet people still show up to their games.

3044 in the last school year. Not all students, just the graduating class. The invitation was sent and the shoot courtesy of the Parkdale Parents.

There was some pretty disturbing footage released today of a young couple in Chicago ripped out of their car and shot execution style after a very minor traffic altercation. It's one of those videos I wish I could go back and unsee, so I won't post it.

It's scary down there.

Been off my list since I was enjoying barb-cue brisket at a saloon in Amarillo when a crazy looking guy sat down next to me leaned his assault rifle up to the chair between us, as I'm looking at the barrel towards me he notices and says "don't worry, the safety's on". I said, yeah ok, and left.

After that I told my partner, you can do the Texas calls, I'll do the milk run thru the east.

At least 8 people were killed and more than 50 hurt in 8 mass shootings across the US this weekend

states just keep getting worse.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/21/us/ma...end/index.html

At least 107 mass shootings have unfolded so far this year in the US, including those on Saturday and Sunday, per the Gun Violence Archive, which like CNN defines a mass shooting as four or more people shot, not including the shooter.

Multiple people shot, at least one in critical condition (from CNN reports) in a Brooklyn NY subway.

Cousin lives near the shooting but wasn't there. Can't imagine living in a country like that where being shot is actually a risk.

There is video from inside the subway car where someone also detonated a smoke device during the shooting incident. So crazy.

Sure, but we're seeing that in Calgary for example. Not enmasse like in the States thank god. but gun crimes are rising in Canada as well.

But this one in NY is a bit bizarre. It does sound like an individual. Lots of different information coming in that's more speculation then fact so far.

There was a huge shooting in Edmonton a few weeks ago where two people died and 70 shots were fired into a bar.
In Toronto somebody appears to be randomly shooting people:

Yeah, I hear ya but you'll never convince me that I need to worry about being shot in Canada

The likelihood of a random person out in public in the U.S. getting shot is vanishingly small. I doubt it’s much higher than in Canada.

Same here, though I've lived here for 30 years. There are a non-surprising amount of gun fans/nuts though. I think the most pathetic was my assistant manager when I was still in retail who felt the need to conceal carry in a flipping suburban grocery store.

I'm sure very few of the 50k or so victims each year thought that way too

Half of those were suicides so those people saw it coming.

The other half were more likely to belong to certain demographics. The average white, relatively-affluent American is nearly as safe as we are. Gun culture still needs to change though.

Saw a report that one of the victims' family feels that authorities could have prevented the loss of their daughter when she was shot at school in New Mexico. Apparently, FBI had interviewed the shooter before, who told them how he was fascinated with mass shootings but they deemed he wasn't a threat to the public...
