Really? I gotta pay attention next time they show his players box.

This set is the very manifestation of Roddick's tweet about Djokovic taking out your legs. Berettini is missing his forehand primarily cos he's not quite in the right position.

Part of me thinks that Djokovic could have won the set 6-1 but he decided to win 6-2 so that he can serve again to start the 3rd.

These games are going by way too quick for Berettini. It's not like he's getting any rest either, all that nervous energy by being behind in the set.

Roof closing. Berettini will take it. Chance for him to rest and reset too.

Come to think of it, perhaps only a matter of time before FAA shows up in Berrettini's players box in the future.

My goodness, another off-the-charts return from Novak.

He's made 22 unforced errors in the match. 17 in the first set. That's disgusting... What can you do against someone like that?

There's very little you can do - The thing is if you do get a break point against Novak, you need to cash in because it's very unlikely you'll get another.

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if Djokovic breaks to take the 3rd here.

That approach shot from Berettini reminded me of fed at Wimbledon.

Berrettini isn't playing bad at all, it's just that Novak is in God mode since the start of set 2.

Yes. That's true. One criticism of Berettini is that he might have to work on his conditioning. Carries a touch too much weight. Also he's gotta improve his backhand.

That said, good point by him to get to 30 all on Djokovic serve.

It's not even fair right now.

Zverev will be a much tougher test for Djokovic.

Yeah because Zverev has a history of playing well against top players in slams.

Seriously there just is no tough test for the guy right now it seems like. I swear, he just kind of doesn't try in the first set, sees what level his opponent is at, raises his to whatever point is needed to crush them, and on to the next round we go. It's happened too many times to just be a coincidence.

you'll get no argument from me that Djoker is the ultimate for both peak form and career accomplishments. but goddamn he's sometimes hard to cheer for when he's striking this pose after every other big winner:

I mean I'm not going to go and cheer for the domestic abuser to beat him, but I'm actually craving a simple Rafa lawn mower starter first pump celebration. look what's he's done, he's turned me into Don Cherry yelling at the bunch of jerks.
