Especially when it took over 2 years from the first one. Hard to get renewed without momentum; people see it uploaded and go "oh yeah, that show".

Moreover, I'm amazed the show ever got off the ground to begin with. That had to be a tough pitch meeting.

But it would be nice to get a third season... nothing out there quite like it.

The bit with the walruses was pretty tough to take in

At least the polar bear got a meal out of it, but yeah, that was hard to watch.

Did anyone else watch Wet Hot American Summer with Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd Amy Poehler etc?

I watched the first episode a couple months ago and thought it was kind of dumb, but I gave it a couple more today and actually laughed quite a few times.

Make no mistake it's purposely cheesy humour, but it's pretty witty and well written. They make lots of general inferences about movies that make you laugh.

*guy opens present from girl in heart warming moment (present is wrapped in that typical TV/movies style where they can just open the top of the box separately despite the whole thing being wrapped) "Oh my goodness.....what an odd way to wrap a present."

The original movie was really good, especially the scene where the counselors took a trip to town and ended up as heroin addicts

There's two series, one is first day of camp, and one is 10 years later where they all reunite.

I enjoyed the series, it had some really good cheesy laugh moments.

Currently watching Traitors. Three episodes in and the wife and I are both enjoying it.

It's great to get away from camp, even for just an hour.

Saw a notification for a new series yesterday, Black Summer. I watched some of the trailers, it's a zombie apocalypse type series and looked so so. But what caught my eye were scenes shot in downtown Calgary, around the Saddledome, and some very familiar scenery that is typical of the Calgary area.

Buddy of mine had a big role in the art department on this one. It was shot all over town last summer

It's a spin off of Z Nation. I'm guessing/hoping you don't need to have watched that show to get this one.

I’ve been told it’s the same world but I don’t think it’s meant to have the cheese factor of Z Nation. More gory is my understanding.

you'd think people would be sick of zombies by now.

Perhaps there should be more comic book shows.

Comics are a medium with an endless number of genres.

Zombies is a genre, one that’s been done to death.

Or did you mean to say superheroes?

A History of Violence. Road to Perdition. From Hell. Ghost World. Old Boy. Men in Black. Snowpiercer. 30 Days of Night. Comics have been an excellent source of movie material.

Hell, the premise of Weird Science was pulled from a comic of the same name.

Fair assessment - superhero movies need to be dialed back a lot. Not my thing and from my perspective there are too many.

You guys missed a key one - The Walking Dead, which is the reason we have all these zombie shows to begin with, is of course a comic book show. It's all connected...

I highly recommend 'The legend of cocaine island" that just got added. What an absurd and funny story.

It's very real, yet the main guy who was arrested and planned the whole scheme is just such an aw shucks likable guy, it makes the whole premise that much more outlandish.

Very well told in this reenactment/documentary. It really does seem like total entrapment by homeland security though.

I binged watched Black Summer late last night and today since I had Easter Monday off. I was surprised it's connected to Z Nation since I hated how stupid that show was and gave up on it quick.

I found out during the last episode it was filmed in Calgary so I was watching for things that look familiar from the few visits I've had and saw a sign for MacLeod Trial and a blurred Flames logo in the tunnel going to the Dome. You can even see the big Stamps logo outside the stadium for a split second.
