Class is permanent, form is temporary
United have no issues with the money, and he has about a 3 year run as best keeper alive
If he struggles for another year then maybe think about it.... but his history suggests, and he hasnt had a bad year in general, just by his standards, that he bounces back

I dont know, De Gea and Pogba are both playing like their heads and their hearts are elsewhere.

Pogba can go, I really don't care. De Gea is having a bad couple of months for sure, it happens.
if anything, these games show how poor Uniteds transfer dealings have been. 4 players of that starting XI were signed by Ferguson, 3 are homegrown (would be 4 but obviously they had to buy Pogba back). Not exactly getting their money's worth here.

Ajax has looked the better team in both legs. Juve midfield hasn’t been great all year and outside of Ronaldo the other forwards haven’t showed up in CL.
Impressive to go into Juve and score 2 though.

Yeah we know Ajax are getting gutted this summer, definitely want them winning it all. An Ajax-Barca final would be fun with De Ligt and De Jong off to Barca after the game.

Actually that would suck since Ajax seems intent on being Barca B. The players about to transfer would probably mail it in.

Maybe if they weren't Dutch. But I can't imagine they'd throw the game, they could be bigger legends winning that match than anything they could do for Barca.

They're desperate to leave, I'm not sure their legend status at Ajax really matters to them.

I'd be desperate to leave too if someone was offering me €16 million a season. If only Ajax could afford that.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think De Gea will keep playing poorly, but I suppose it highlights what his value actually is. On a team with a rock solid defense like Liverpool or Man City, is he really worth £400,000 a week? Alisson and Ederson are basically never challenged in most games, I'd be surprised if either has had to make five or more saves in more than a handful of games. With United's terrible defense, De Gea is vital, but if United shore up the defense is he really worth £400,000 a week? I just think as great as he is, he's not worth paying that much if he isn't required to bail his team out like he currently is. I know it's United and they have more than enough money to afford it, but if they need to be paying £400,000 a week for anyone it should be De Ligt or another defender.

Congrats to Ajax!
Hurts as a Juve fan but they were full marks and deserve the win. Better team across both legs IMO.
That midfield just carved up Juve and made the Juve midfield look bad. Will be really dissapointed if De Jong, De Ligt, and Van De Beek all end up at Barcelona, I don't want to have to hate them.

I understand what you say, but please don't say it again.
Ajax isn't trying to be Barca B.
If anything, Barca is Ajax B.
They've adopted our playing style in the '70's by singning Ajax' coach Rinus Michels and (the GOAT) Johan Cruyff.
I'm not worried at all De Jong (and De Ligt) won't play at their very best if (big if) we were to meet Barcelona in the final.

Yes, that's the downside of it all.
Frenkie is gone already, De Ligt is 99,99% gone, Tagliafico will leave, despite being offered a huge contract raise.
Others like Ziyech, Tadic, Van de Beek and Neres will have a lot of interest.
At least Andre Onana singned an extension and will stay one more year.
This team can't fall apart without winning a trophy.
On may 5th we play the national cup final, 3 days later we play Spurs/City and we're in a heavy battle with PSV for the domestic title with 4 games left.
This team deserves trophies.
