Nole / Thiem interrupted by rain AGAIN. this tournament is the biggest natural and man-made disaster in recent memory.

This Djoker / Thiem match will likely end one hour before the start of the men's final.

I’m in Europe right now and this match will end by the time I get back to Canada. Might as well not even play the final with how little rest either guys will have.

Geez, did not see Thiem dropping four straight points in that fashion to keep Novak in this match.

Hope the 85 fans are enjoying this final. I think it’s time to ponder switching the clay major to Madrid. French is terribly organized with terrible fans.

What a match! I have never seen a end to a match with both players looking so nervous. Come on Rafa a dozen French Open titles is on the horizon, but it's not going to be easy Thiem is legit. My favorite stat about him is that he is the only active man to make a Grand Slam final under the age of 28

Ash Barty wins the French after quitting tennis to play cricket.....at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Bouchard wins a title lol

This stat is absolutely horrifying for the future of the sport. Things are already looking bleak on the women's side, and the men's side isn't much better. Gonna be very interesting to see what happens say 10 years after the big three retire. Could be significant declines in prize money because no one is gonna care anywhere near as much for a bunch of good but not great players and mediocrity ruling the day as it does in women's tennis.
Good for Barty and all, but what does that really say about the current state of the women's game? Go ahead and quit and you can still win a major? It'd be nice for the long term health of the sport for Thiem to win today, but we all know he's getting blasted off the court.

Great rallies!
They will both be completely drained after this match.

Thiem is playing great, yet it just seems inevitable that one bad service game will creep in at some point and Rafa will pounce.
Edit: Or maybe he breaks Rafa in game 12 of set 2 and levels the match at 1 set each.

Rafa is angry and has won all eight points of set 3 played thus far.

I think Thiem has ran out of gas (I mean this is his 4th straight day of playing tennis) and Rafa is rolling now.
