Yeah, it would definitely suck more than having the game go to 5 overtimes, a puck get accidentally dumped over the glass resulting in an automatic penalty, the shorthanded team getting a breakaway snuffed out by the other team mauling the player to the ice and not getting a penalty, then a player getting hit in the face by a puck making him unable to continue defending, not having the play blown dead, then the game ending because the injured defender couldn't get into position to block the shot... meanwhile, other teams have their game rescheduled, and unfair advantages could potentially come into play for the rest of the series and beyond due to how much hockey these 2 teams have played in this one game.
ffs I literally said the rule wouldn't apply in elimination games, and yall complain about "what about if the series was 3-2"... uh, that's literally an elimination game...

Torts should be fined for every question he answers like that. It's just not acceptable.

Still better than a playoff game ending in a tie

I don't really have a horse in this race (well.... I still remember 2004 TB) but that should have been a penalty on Hedman. In slow motion his stick gets to the legs (how hard who knows) , maybe an arm in there, and puck isn't touched first. I've seen penalties called for less in the playoffs. And it didn't look like a dive.
Can't even imagine how those players feel this morning. Especially CBJ; last game played in the qualifiers to the first, second, and most of the fourth game of the playoffs among all teams.
I didn't hear a single bad answer there. Stupid questions deserve stupid answers. Like what the hell else would you tell guys after they played 7 periods of hockey? Is Jones a beast? Obviously, he just payed the most minutes in the history of hockey. Jesus Christ.

None of the questions were moronic. Reminder the reporters have a job to do as well. They prob loathe asking this man child anything.

Torts can be a man-baby but he’s right to say “Don’t ask me about the non-call”
He gets fined if he criticizes the refs and complains about what was a bad call. So why should he take a question that’s just going to end up with him getting fined.
Will be interesting to see the rest of this series now. Does this springboard Tampa and give them confidence, or are they still frustrated after seeing a goalie make 88 saves.
