More rumours on RATM.

All tickets at every show will be one price point. So whether you’re floor, club seats, 2nd level, press level or behind stage, you’re paying $170+fees.

However, much of the sales will apparently go towards local charities. We know this is true for at least a few shows but it would take a bit of the sting out if it turns out to be true for most/all shows.

I’m hesitant to pay $170 for floor or lower bowl. No way I’m paying $170 for upper deck seats.

If anyone is into drum and bass, this is probably the best show to pass through town in the past 5 years.

@ Commonwealth on Sunday.

Great, even more incentive for the scalpers to get in there early and scoop up all the good seats.

How much are they donating? Why not just charge a reasonable rate?

I’m hesitant to pay $170 to see any band, let alone one that hasn’t put out new music in decades.

Msg from RATM

Quote:
Since the announcement of our tour, scalpers and broker sites have been listing fake tickets for RATM. We want to do everything we can to protect our fans from predatory scalping and, at the same time, raise a substantial amount of money for charities and activist organizations we support in each city. At many concerts, up to 50% of the seating is scooped up by scalpers and then resold to fans at much higher fees. We are doing everything we can to protect 90% of the RATM tickets from scalpers, and then WE are holding in reserve 10% of the seating (random seats throughout each venue) to sell at a higher ticket price (but low enough to undercut the scalpers). We will donate 100% OF THE MONEY over the fees and base ticket price to charities and activist organizations IN EACH CITY. We are confident this will help many more fans get tickets at face value and put a big dent in the aftermarket gouging. WE HATE SCALPING AS MUCH AS YOU DO and will continue to try to find ways to combat it. Additionally, we are donating all profits from our first three shows to immigrants' rights organizations and will be supporting multiple charities and activist organizations throughout the tour.
In addition, ticket transfer/delivery will be delayed until 10 days to showtime. So better get ready to clench if you buy on secondary market because you won’t get confirmation you bought a real ticket until it’s too late.

I’m guessing that 10% of tickets won’t be released until closer to showtime to try and help curb the scalping market and make people weary of paying hundreds for tickets when tickets direct are still a chance.

My friends and I passed on RATM tickets just now. Can't justify paying $200 for nosebleed seats. Plus, while I love their music, I am not so sure that I want my money going to some of the activist organizations that they might support.

My buddy was about to buy them. I think they went on sale at 11 AM and it is 11 here in Ontario. Not sure if he went to their website or Ticket Master. He just messaged me the cost and asked if I was still interested.

Is everything just selling out insanely fast and it's a lost cause?

I attempted the 1st TO just to see the process, only "Charity Seats" left right now. like $500 each in seats, and $700 each for the floor.

Then the 2nd TO show is easily available now.

Friday MAY-01 VANCOUVER, BC

Sunday MAY-03 EDMONTON, AB

Tuesday MAY-05 CALGARY, AB

Thursday MAY-07 WINNIPEG, MB

I wonder what are the odds of a 2nd Calgary show based on these Western Canadian dates.

Probably one of the few people who prefer scalpers to Ticketmaster. Scalpers more reliable.
