not arguing, just saying they still contain oil- just less. And I appreciate that they've worked for you! I haven't had the same experience myself, even with the brands you've suggested.
The brain's response to cannabis is equally widespread. Zachary Walsh, a psychologist at the University of British Columbia, explains that cannabinoid receptors are among the most prominent receptors in the central nervous system. Known as "CB1" receptors, they become hyperactive under the influence of cannabis, influencing mood, appetite and sensation.
The relationship between music and cannabis becomes more intertwined when we consider that both activate the pleasure and reward systems in the brain. Cannabis with higher levels of cannabidiol (better known as CBD — a compound that has medical benefits, but isn't solely responsible for the "high") than tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, the psychoactive component) is reported to increase the release of dopamine. In such strains, the amplified activity in the reward system can psychologically condition the user to correlate cannabis with a more positive listening experience. With music and cannabis simultaneously triggering the mesolimbic dopamine system, the brain is chemically reinforcing two extremely gratifying behaviours — and coupling them over time.
It's no stoned delusion to think that time moves a little slower under the influence, either. Cannabis enters the listener into a state of mind that distorts how they perceive the passage of time, and their ability to follow a beat changes how that musical composition comes together.
AlbertaCannabis.org is shutting down with Alberta's private retailers set to begin online sales.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Under new provincial legislation, as March 8, 2022, AlbertaCannabis.org will no longer offer online sales of cannabis products. However, also starting March 8, 2022, licensed cannabis retailers in Alberta will be able to offer online sales and delivery of cannabis products.
This change gives your local, private licensed retailers the opportunity to offer online ordering and delivery of your favourite legal, non-medical cannabis items. Alberta has more than 700 private cannabis retailers, so there’s sure to be one close to you. Remember to make sure you’re ordering from a licensed retailer, with an AGLC-approved website.
You can continue to have confidence licensed cannabis retailers will continue to offer choices in legal, high-quality products for consumers. A list of Alberta online retailers will be available on March 8, 2022. You can also check out our list of Alberta’s retailers here.
Come March 8, you will lose access to your account history. If you want to save your account history, login to AlbertaCannabis.org no later than March 8 and use the navigation's Support & Account tab to access the My Order History page. From there, you can view, download, or print your previous transactions.
Thank you for shopping with us and supporting Alberta’s legal, non-medical cannabis industry.

Good to see this finally happening. AB Govt should be a regulator only, not the middleman. It will be interesting to see how the various retailers approach online shopping.
meh, the quality and selection that MOM's have to offer completely blows legal retailers out of the water. I'll pass on the Popcorn buds and shake thanks lol
I think Value Buds is a great local retailer. The prices are so low and there is good selection and quality. It has been over a year since I used one of those grey market delivery/mail order sites. This used to be Nova Cannabis but all of those locations have rebranded to value buds.

For the average uninformed consumer, like me, that has found that his one-stop-shop for online orders is now discontinued...where would the savvy folks suggest I shop?
Thanks.

Your local Weed Retailer? Co-op Cannabis takes Co-op numbers which is nice.
Technically the provincial store closes March 8, and I don’t think the private online retailers start until then.

We don't have a Co-Op cannabis retailer in Red Deer, but I hate shopping for it in-store anyway. They rarely have the brands/strains I prefer, and typically the folks working there are so pretentious it's nauseating.
I just thought someone had an inside track on the new, online market, but maybe that's a wait and see thing for all of us.

I’ve placed online orders at both Spirit Leaf and Canna Cabana, which both appear to have locations in red deer. Both were great, although I don’t live in red deer myself.

Really? Hasn't been my experience at all. I've found them to be nothing less than helpful and cordial.
It's still an in-store solution, but I would hit up ValueBuds (https://valuebuds.com/ - 2 stores in Red Deer) as they're usually very good at updating their online stock so you can browse to your hearts content and order online and just pick it up at your closest store.
I also find their prices better than all other stores I've seen too.

Every time I go to a Valuebuds, I pick up an ounce of great weed for less than $100 and am only in the store less than 5 minutes.
I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that I'm paying less than half the price of an ounce 20 years ago.
But now-a-days it doesn't come with a reusable bread bag!
And for the pretentious salespeople? Never. Last year, when I popped in to grab something after I helped a kid get hit by a car, I think I hung out chatting with the guy at Spiritleaf for 30 minutes. There was one guy at Canna Cabana that kept calling me "friend" repeatedly that was kinda creepy.
This might have been covered already, but curious if there was ever resolution to this. I remember that some people (myself included) were concerned about online transactions as it tied your name to the purchases which would be used to somehow deny you travel to places were cannabis is banned. I'm pretty sure that was paranoia 101 hyped up by the media, so curious if anyone is still concerned about this? I've always just bought in person with cash so far.

I have recently been really enjoying the THC Reign Drops, and the Good Supply 30:1 Oil. Throw away the dropper they give you and get one that will dose better, but it has really reduced my overhead cost and I am getting excellent, consistent quality. I have entirely stopped smoking cannabis at all, and vape only extremely occasionally. Small doses of the edibles times right has been dynamite.
