Going to be fun to see a new looking Flames, it's still hard to believe all of Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk are gone. How things change in a year and half.

Excited to see the chaos this new look has, especially that top line or #1 offensive line however they are deployed.

All I want is for an injury free game. If I can ask for more its as follows, I want Hanifin to score, I want Kuzmenko to score and for Huberdeau to assist it. I want to lose 3-2 with Markstrom giving a fighting chance the whole game.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I am. Lose, that's fine. Just be entertaining.

I predict a pretty big game and great showing for the newly minted top line. Sort of like the first game when Olli Jokinen suited up next to Iggy. Hopefully the long term return on the trade looks better though than how Jokinen turned out!
EDIT - FINALLY, a game that I can watch and finish before 10PM local time!

Coming on here and seeing all the folks cheering for losses makes me feel (and smells) like I'm deep in oil country. I find it nauseating, but I guess this is the state of the fanbase today and a product of the draft lottery. Anyway, GFG, even if half your fans don't want you to.

Kuzmenko actually had 14P in his first 16GP, then he got scratched for the first time(out of 6). Since then he had 7P in 25 games, including just 2P in the last 13.
Flames win in the shootout, lead by the Huberdeau line. All of Kuzmenko, Sharangovich and Huberdeau score in the shootout tonight.
I think the team is going to play with a ton of energy tonight.

I believe the state of the fan base is a result of the state of the team. Multiple people in here with similar posts and you quote me?

I didn't mean to pick on you specifically, but sure the team has something to do with it. A fan base cheering for losses will really get them fired up to perform, I'm sure.

He’s not invested enough to read the thread. Just wants to admonish others for not being as good a fan as he is. Then he goes away and doesn’t read these replies. That’s my guess.

Heh? I've been reading this forum thoroughly and daily for decades. I've seen worse teams than this one and I still didn't cheer for losses. I also don't consider myself a better or worse fan than anyone. We are consuming entertainment here, as difficult on the heart as it may be.
Many have been mocking the oil and others for tanking on here off and on for many years, and it's gross (to this fan) to see it adopted by so many Flames fans. I guess I'm sorry if not being able to stomach that triggers you or others, but not really. I have lifelong Flames fan friends I grew up with who switched to cheering for the Oilers this year. Brutal.
I picked the most recent post and quoted it after reading them all, if you're really trying to put me under the microscope here.....did I misinterpret that they were cheering for a loss? No, so my point stands.
Anyway....why even watch the games and comment on this forum if you want losses and a (maybe) competitive team in 3-4 years?
