I know...just saying it doesn't make up for the poor travel schedule the Flames have had all year

back on topic...they have a 1 point lead and have played two more games. In my mind the Flames are still setting the pace, but its tight.

If only Smith didn't blow those six games

Murray was awesome in net making 50 saves. The only one that got past him was on the major power play from Malkin's bad stick job. Crosby had 3 points and his team was 4 for 5 on the PK The win puts the Pens in a tie for 8th place with the BJs, 3 points up on Carolina.

Nobody mentioned this game? Kuzentsov (4pts) and OV (3 pts) were the offensive powers on the ice. Interesting stats, the Caps had 3 straight minor penalties in the first period all for hooking and are tied for 1st for the most minor penalties in the league. Good home stand for the Caps, 4-1-1, as they now go away for 6 games. The Kings finished their 6 game road trip with a decent record, 3-2-1. Dustin Brown's comment says it all about the Kings improved play and making the playoffs. "The challenging part probably isn't the points, it's the leapfrogging teams because everyone's playing each other. It's going to come down to a math problem. If we perform well, it still might just come down to a math problem."

Lots was talked about here how junior goalie DiPietro was in net for the injured Markstrom. This is a stat you don't see often. "The Canucks trailed 6-1 despite outshooting the Sharks 22-15 in the first 40 minutes." The Canucks are going to need get a 3rd stringer off waivers.

Their backup goalie is injured. Mikey DiPietro is on emergency recall.

So, is he hurt? It was never made clear what was going on.
