Meh, it's another game that makes me wish the playoffs were going to get here sooner. Still a couple of things--
- Total domination by the Flames; Canucks didn't even have a shot in the second until their goal.
- Good to get frustrated by a hot goalie now. Peters can go to work on getting them to be nastier in front of the net since they're probably going to see some hot goalies in the playoffs as well, and this game may help make them listen. Pretty passing plays and unscreened shots ain't going to be enough.

Plus Oilers continue to oil and the Ducks are achieving new levels of suck. Tomorrow will still be a good day.

Canucks celebrating like they just won the Cup. Congrats, you got completely dominated and managed to barely squeak out a win in the skills competition because your goaltender was the only guy on your roster who showed up.

Honestly, I ain't even that mad. Flames were by far the superior team and earned a much deserved and important point. Continue to play like that down the stretch, and they'll win 9 times out of 10.

Onto Tampa now, which should be a hell of a game, especially if the Flames play like they did tonight.

Despite all the idiotic abuse Rittich took in the game thread, I thought he played a really solid game tonight and bounced back nicely from the Sharks game. Dude was a rock star in OT.

I would have gone:

1) Ryan (He's been feeling it lately)
2) Lindholm
2) Jankowski

As much as I like Monny and Tkachuk, they've become far to predictable in the shootout.

In theory I like it.

If you can't beat them, acquire them.

I think they should stop practicing breakaway....especially if they are shooting at Smith. He gives them false sense of 5-hole shot works.

Good game for the guys, even know they didn't win at least they dominated, haven't seen that for quite some time.

Besides, we get a point and the Canucks put another dagger in the the Oilers season

Not a bad shout...although Lindholm was probably a spent unit after carrying the entire team for 60 minutes. Even strength, short handed, power play...guys a great player

I am not scared of the Canucks, but I really dont want to play them in the playoffs. They are very well coached and have really good sticks through the middle. Reminds me a lot of early 2000s Detroit that way.

Calgary was really the dominant team, but the counter attack style with a lot of sticks through the middle turns every game into a 50/50 toss up. Very reminiscent of the Hartley flames.

1-3 they destroyed the Flames game one

Our back up goalie has been literally crucified for less this year. Rittich can, should and will be better moving forward. I’d also wager Rittich agrees.

Flames are 0-3 in the shoot out.

Johnny is 0-2, so is Neal.

Only Monahan has scored a goal.

Lindholm 0-1

Didn't see the game as I was flying home from Arizona but I did say in the GDT that Canucks either win by 1 or Flames win by 6 or 7. When I said that I was thinking only way Canucks win is if Markstrom stands on his head and it sounds like he did.
