Hearing News bad for Kris Versteeg .. his entire season in jeopardy. Lower body injury may require surgery.. similar injury to 2012 year. On IR will watch to see if an LTIR candidate. Big loss for #Flames

That's unfortunate.... wonder what happened. Looks like Hathaway is here to stay for a while then though, which isn't a bad thing at all.

That's actually a pretty tough loss for the Flames. Versteeg may not have been having the best year but he is a good player and was bound to return to form as the year progressed.

You know what, I dont know what to say. Versteeg is a polarizing figure. Sometimes he took stupid penalties that infuriated me, but he also brought a different, dynamic edge to the team which I think it needs.
Hathaway can provide something similar, but with much, much less experience I think we're going to miss Versteeg.

Probably wouldn't even be in the realm of possibility until around the trade deadline if he's not ready for a Christmas holidays tourney.

Ouch. That is too bad.
First 50 or so game Versteeg can be a frustrating player.
But when the chips were down last year, ge was one of our better players. One of our better forwards in the playoffs too.
Pretty big loss.

Steeger is definitely not having his best season this year. But it's a loss nonetheless. He was contributing. If this turn of events leads to an Iggy signing... well boy oh boy this Flames fan will be a happy camper for Christmas!
