Default HELP - Window is locked and won't dislodge!

I need some help about a casement window.

Basically I have a casement window where there is a lock and a crack to open it. Now the window is closed and locked but when I move the lock lever up and down it doesn't move the mechanism to dislodge the locking bar. Basically the lever is loose going up and down freely. Anyone knows of what's going on and how to fix it? Or can anyone recommend someone who can fix it?

Thanks

Sounds like you've run into a spot of bother with the window ghouls. Their tiny little fingers often grasp too tight around the window levers we've come to trust, tearing them off their hinges.
