I think they're trying to pander to the "all ages" crowd. The humour in those commercials are beyond vanilla. It's the kind of stuff my grandma would find "cute".
Geeeezzz.....Seriously! They're still running that turkey brain Boston Pizza ad. I would be more worried about what month and a half old turkey leftovers would be doing to my stomach, not my brain.....
That Snickers commercial with Betty White. After she changes into the guy and his gf says "better", to him? Is his head supposed to be abnormally large? He looks like a bobblehead.
I don't mind that one. The guy on the right cant keep a straight face.
This one is actually quite clever... Thing is, I don't know about the little fat & bald Restaurant Manager. His employee is pretty stupid. You think he should have fired him about 3 or 4 commercials back for being stupid?
I hate commercials where people are "eating" but there is no bite missing from the food and they are chewing like they have a mouthful of gum. It is so fake it annoys me.
The one that comes to mind is a McDonalds one where a guy and girl are watching tv and he just treated her to a burger because "everyday is special with you babe" (that is a line that cracks me up though) and he has a cheek full and looks like a chipmunk.

During the super bowl they had an extended version of this commercial.
It honestly made me look down on Canada, while the Americans get pretty hilarious commercials we get a longer fi fi fo fum commercial.
Then you are subbing to the wrong service because with Shaw, I watched the Fox broadcast and all the great US commercials. Screw CTV and their crap commercials.

You must live in Edmonton (I assume that's what "Enemy Territory" means).
Because CFRN doesn't have an HD channel yet, Edmonton still gets its CTV from Toronto, so the US feeds aren't subject to sim-subbing...Yet.
Since the digital switchover has to be completed by the end of August, this was likely your last sim-sub free Super Bowl.

There's an ad on the radio for a local home builder that GMGs. They offer ICF and claim that it makes their houses up to 9x more comfortable to live in. Ok, how the hell do you come up with such a stupid statistic? Nine times more comfortable? Because you've got concrete walls? That makes my chair more cushy? Or it makes my furnace blow less hot air because you've insulated better? Either way, my room temp is 23, and my chair is the same.
Nine times more comfortable. F*** off. How about more expensive, but saves energy. That's the truth about ICF. It has superior insulative qualities, and costs more. Nothing about it makes the space inside your home "more comfortable". And how the f*** to you multiply your comfort by two, four, or frigging nine?
"Hey guys, this new Samsung TV is a gazillion DPI. That makes it 9 times more comfortable to watch"
"This key is only one centimeter long, which makes it up to nine times more comfortable to turn"
