Now I'm trying to decide if I want to put one of those fancy 2080 TI inside this machine. Problem is waiting for the waterblock companies.

*999 US for the 2080TI, website still shows $1200.

Hm I guess I might be looking for a cheap used 1080Ti after all, $1500 CDN is brutal.

$600USD for a 2070?!

How long until a critical mass of games use the ray tracing? What's the performance edge for current games?

I'm waiting for proper benchmarks, but NVlink instead of SLI is amazing. Makes sense why SLI was dropped more or less on Pascal.

Prices were wrong! yay $999 for 2080ti, $699 for 2080, $499 for 2070

Well, for non founders I guess.

I saw the PNY leaks yesterday at 999 for 2080ti, but is anyone seeing that live?

I snagged a 2080 FE at 799 because I'm not right in the head.

Looks like the AIB cards on Amazon have some variative pricing (some higher, a couple 50 bucks lower) but mostly in-line with Nvidia's prices:

I had one in my cart and was half checked out when I realized it was USD, switch it to CDN and the 2080FE was $1150 so I backed out and decided an upgrade to my CPU/Mobo was better suited.

MemEx has cards up for pre-order with a big "WE CAN'T GUARANTEE THESE PRICES SRY" disclaimer.

https://www.memoryexpress.com/Brand/...RTX.Offer.aspx

Generally the same prices as a card ordered from the US. Which makes the 2080Ti's $1650(!!!)

$900 for a used 1080Ti? Think the prices will come down from there?

I guess I should wait until the 2070 reviews come out, maybe it'll be faster than a 1080Ti?

MemEx is selling a 1080Ti for $870 right now:

https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX66192

According to this article, the 2070 outperforms the 1080, but not the 1080Ti:

They have their 7nm process due next year for GPU's, in theory it should provide a massive performance boost, it's also the reason I believe they released the full line up so quick doe the 2k series

People will be trying to recoup the costs of buying at peak pricing, I got my last 1080ti at msrp, but I'm still going to be taking a bath on selling the whole system it's in I think.

On the plus side my ad has provided me with a stream of custom loop customers who want it for their work station PC's.

Anybody running a router with a vpn client built in? I looked at my dir655, and it doesn’t seem compatible with the DDWRT firmware so looking for something that I can either replace this with or use in conjunction with. Is it worth upgrading the router for AC support with newer phones and tablets?

So despite the AIBs being almost of similar pricing to the FEs, word is that AIBs might actually drop in price before Sept 20th. It seems NVidia is being a bit more, uh, obvious about their FE binning process than previously.

Yep, I've always preferred the founders for any watercooled build strictly for their overclocking range.

That being said I've had great luck with Asus over the years.

I'm avoiding jumping on one of these cards until I see benchmarks.

TechRadar has a "Hands-On" review of the 2080Ti from Gamescom up:

https://www.techradar.com/reviews/nv...ce-rtx-2080-ti

No benchmarks yet (since they got to try it on the event PCs at the NVidia booth) but 50-57 FPS @ 4K with RT turned on for Tomb Raider sounds pretty great on a single card.
