A UFC contract means very little if she decides that she's done with the fight game.
She can still make way more money in UFC than she can with WWE. Unless they're willing to give her the Lesnar money and schedule, there's no reason for her to do it. And let's be honest, she's a huge competitor. She's going to want that rematch way more than she's going to want a ####ty 15 minute segment with a pink butterfly belt on Monday nights.
Personally I don't see the GSP comparisons at all.
GSP was a guy that never seemed like he really liked to fight, he did it because he was good at it and could make a great living. The second it looked like his skills were diminishing a little he got out of the game.
Rousey on the other hand is somebody who seems like she loves the competition and needs to fight. If anything she would be the reverse Lesnar, where she goes to WWE for a year to make decent coin, and a Wrestlemania payday, on a limited schedule.
Then comes back to UFC to try to take over the division again.
A UFC contract means very little if she decides that she's done with the fight game.
UFC contracts have fight numbers and a contract length in them. Details are vague but Rousey signed a new contract with the UFC in March of this year, a contract that is being described as long term by any media outlet that reported on it.
A UFC contract means everything. She can't go and become a WWE wrestler tomorrow, or for the next several years while under contract with zuffa.
I wouldn't say GSP's skills were diminishing, although he was getting older and you do slow down a bit I really didn't see his skills diminishing to the point he was no longer still the best fighter in the game
I think he suffered from being obsessed and too focused, that diminished his end result but I have zero question his skills were all there. The fear of loosing took away his killer instinct. Without that killing instinct and the knowledge that winning that title means more to your opponent then it does to you will eventually result in you taking one hell of a beating... he knew this and props for seeing it

I don't think I've ever watched an entire Larry King interview until this, and I thought he was awful. He was terrible at follow up questions and the whole thing felt like a job interview. How much research did he do? If you're going to give power to a quote (by Jon Jones) maybe it would be a good idea to say it was by someone who is regarded as the top pound for pound fighter in the world and (practically) an undefeated champion instead of simply referring to him as "a mixed martial artist".
I know Holly has a calm, even demeanor, but a good interviewer would make her more comfortable and probably get more interesting answers from her.
Sorry for the rant and the derail but I'd really like to know if this is the kind of job King has done all his life to achieve such praise in his field.
